Some tips for the mental side

Just a couple of pointers for anyone stuck:
1) My favorite mantra is “my only job is to feel”. It captures the key ingredient that its not necessary to grasp this kind of pleasure, you only have to notice it and open up to it. It also makes it clear that this is not a job or chore. It sounds silly, but often we men seem to treat sex as something you need to be good at, and controlled in approach. This approach is not necessary with the Aneros. It will drive, you are invited to ease your hands off the steering wheel.

2) Don’t Think, Just Be. This one is tricky to explain but I will try. It is often said that sex is all in the head, this may be true but it actually points you in the wrong direction at times. It implies that you must think yourself into enjoying it. While this can help initially, your focus is best used on the body itself. Once you find your prostate and isolate the feelings, try to “be” the prostate, not talk to yourself about how it feels.

3) If you want to jump up a level in enjoyment, let go more. This sounds counter intuitive because you are enjoying the feelings you are having. But trust me, if you let go of the pleasure it may leave briefly but it will return with friends. A good mantra for this is “This feels great, but I don’t need it”. Clinginess to pleasure is the enemy here, allowance of what is present is the best approach.

4) A great orgasm is not an achievement. It will be given to you but you don’t have to work for it. It is not a gold star. Focusing on the idea of it will reduce your focus on the present which is where all pleasure starts.
Remember, what are the characteristics of how an orgasm feels? One thing for sure is that it does not feel like your thought of how it might feel.

5) A thought is not a feeling. You’d be surprised how fine the difference can be. Always defer to feeling. Thoughts don’t need to be shooed away, just refocus.

6) Don’t bother memorizing rules. A bit ridiculous to post this at the end of my list but try to understand the underlying intention behind these words. It is a common trick of the mind to convert phrases purely into the domain of thoughts and lose the underlying intention.

  1. Thanks for taking the time to post this. I think this will really help. Can’t wait to try your suggestions.

  2. To add to this. Most people start off thinking that the contractions will produce the pleasure, but somehow the arousal in your mind is more or less what drives the pleasure. Involuntary contractions happen on their own accord as a response to prostate swelling as a response to high levels of arousal. It’s kind of a chicken and the egg. What came first, arousal or involuntary contractions. Surely Involuntaries rub the prostate to create more arousal, but surely one only gets Involuntaries happening when one is sufficiently aroused. I think this is how people can try for months without success and why I think OP speaks good advice.
