Does the helix classic have more firm pressure than the helix syn? Also did cutting off the tail of my helix syn make it less effective?

I’ve been reading that the helix classic might have provide more pressure than the helix syn since the plastic is less flexy. Is this true? Does anyone have experience with both that might be able to comment?

I’ve been having some great feelings recently but don’t think I’ve ever quite made it over the edge. I mostly feel like I can’t really feel the helix syn pressing on my prostate. I feel like a little more pressure would be helpful.

I also cut the curly tail off my helix syn for comfort reasons (the p-tab is still there). I don’t suppose that could be interfering with it working optimally? I know the helix syn pivots on that p-tab so it’s necessary (also necessary not to lose it up inside) but I didn’t know if the other piece was necessary as well.

  1. I have zero medical training, but I use Neutrogena Body Clear body wash. It’s orange, and goes on sale at target from time to time. It has Salicylic Acid which is an AHA to help skin cell turnover faster with exfoliation. Mostly AHA is associated with acne prevention, and as serums for anti-aging due to the skin cell exfoliation.

You can read about Alpha Hydroxy Acids in
r/skincareaddiction and how exactly they work.

My outbreaks are on my ass and thigh, so I figure this can’t hurt. I have had H 26 years and have yet to give it to anyone. But if I am dating someone who has it, we tend to give each other flareups even with no symptoms. And a bf of 3 years tested positive for antibodies. The Dr said it was from frequent exposure, but he didn’t have the virus. I don’t trust Drs much on this subject (I have received so much misinformation over the years), but just repeating what he said. So does it work? I clearly have asymptotic shedding from these two experiences. But maybe it would have been worse if I didn’t use AHAs daily.

  2. I only have the Helix Classic but from what I have read the Syn models are a bit softer and thus provide a slightly less pressure on the prostate. I doubt it’s that much of a difference.

If you are getting great feelings I would stick with what you have for now. In my experience the great feelings will continue to get better the more you use it. Having said that at some point many guys do get additional models to experiment with. I have several.

I have always cut of the curly part of the tail on all my aneros toys (the ones that have a curly tail anyways). This helps keep the tail from getting stuck against the mattress when laying on your back. I do keep about an inch of the tail so that it doesn’t twist when using it.

  3. I have both and the hard plastic really helps it to pivot. The Syn’s p-tab barely does anything for me.
