Question about p-tab contact

Is the p-tab meant to always be in contact with the perineum? Or only when contracting/having involunatries?

I’ve noticed that when I’m relaxed, such as when using the “do nothing” method with the helix classic, there is about a 1/2″ gap between the p-tab and my perineum. In fact the only time i notice
the p-tab making contact is when I’m contracting strongly (voluntarily or involuntarily).

Lately I’ve been folding up some tissue paper and wedging it between the p-tab and my perineum, and it does make it feel better, but it doesn’t feel like the ideal solution.

Anyone have advice on how to address this?

  1. I use this method [this](https://redd.it/6u2hxb) method, which basically involves ‘sucking’ in the aneros as comfortably as you can which forces the p tab against you, while also contracting your muscles to move it in and out.
