Hello- I’ve done a bunch of research on the toy I want and I’ve settled on the Helix. However, I cannot find any definitive answers on what the community preference is on the Syn vs the Trident. Anyone here use both and have an opinion? 30 year old heterosexual male looking to spice it up with the wife

If this is your first, Go with the Helix Syn. More comfortable and very user friendly. Be sure to read the forums on the Aneros website to get some tips and tricks and help set your expectations.
Were I you, I would choose the Trident version. It will be easier to clean, and unlike the Syn model, it doesn’t hold on to certain smells. The new tab design on the Trident merit giving it a try, IMO.
[Many](https://www.aneros.com/community/forum/general-discussion/147889-the-new-trident-series-reviewed) say that the tabs on the Trident series are a vast improvement, which I think they are. You may very well be cutting off the curly tail of the Syn, like many do, as it is really only cosmetic (and very stylish at that).
Besides the tabs, I would put my vote in for the Syn for its softer material and tried-and-true experience.
