While listening to a familiar track on YouTube this morning, I began to reflect on our male sexuality.
[I had a session recently where I experienced a 2-hour refractory period after release of some prostate fluid. It caught me by surprise. In essence, I lost all desire for anything sexual. It was an “empty” feeling—one which came on very suddenly and without warning. After the period was over, I did regain most of my sexuality].

Then, continuing to listen, I reflected on our male sexuality: “Will It Be There When You Need It?” Of course, “it” refers to our arousal—our erections. It is those erections that seems to “trigger” something much deeper within us. [Here I got a sense of a sexual “well”]. Without that erection, we can’t even begin to look down into the well. Can we see the bottom? What is in the well? This reflection continued……

What is it, then that makes our prostates pulse? [Here, I began to perform nice PC contractions in sync with the music]. After all, no doubt about it, we will need our prostates to be involved in our sexual decisions and actions. Our sexual “wells” run very deep. What’s in yours?
What turns you on? Is it a sight? A touch? A smell? A taste? A sound? Ah….these are the senses. it seems to me, then that we as males are “wired” for sex. We have to be. There are things that will trigger a sexual response in us. We like it, we need it, and we desire it.
There are a lot of mysterious things in the well. When you get a spontaneous erection “out-of-the-blue”, be assured that something triggered it. You may not even know what it is, but the connections were made deep within your mind that elicited the response. Much the same way as foreplay before sexual intercourse, we as males have a primary desire for sexual release, usually by ejaculation. And in order to achieve that ejaculation, there has to be “visit” to the well.

It is not so simple as just to throw a “switch”—a sexual one at that—and be ready. There usually is a time of reflection at the well, a period of introspection, a period of arousal. What’s in your well?
