A Quick Primer on Male “Chastity Cups”

Background
While relaxing and chilling this morning with some nice tracks, I had the opportunity to fantasize and reflect on my fascination with male “chastity cups”. (I had an inquiry from an Aneros member recently who wondered whether I am still practicing semen retention and male chastity. The answer is a resounding yes!) Let me explain…

——

What is a male “chastity cup”?
What it is basically is a male athletic supporter with a hard cup. Nothing more, nothing less! There are many brands available and I have several. Among my favorites: XO ProCup, Shock Doctor Ultra Pro Carbon Cup, Mueller Sports Medicine cup, SafeTGard with Cage Cup.

What is is used for?
There are myriad uses for these cups. First, in sporting events such as baseball and hockey, the cups are used to protect the vital male genitalia from injury. Ever been accidentally kicked in the balls? Not too pleasant? Well, the cups prevent the most serious injuries from occurring.

As I use them for male chastity, these cups serve another purpose entirely. They prevent me from touching, caressing and stimulating my male “package” so that I cannot masturbate while wearing one. So simple but yet so effective! I can stroke and rub the hard cup all I want and I may develop an erection but suffice it to say that there will be no ejaculation while I am wearing one. This is especially true at night while I am in bed (before I have selected and put-on a cup); invariably I will begin to play with my package almost automatically. I have to catch myself before I get too aroused with an erection. It is too easy to reach the PONR and an undesired ejaculation. It is then that I select a cup and put it on.

A third opportunity presents itself while wearing a “chastity cup”. In the performance of a prostate massage session, it is important to keep the penis out of the prostate pleasure and the “chastity cup” earns high marks for this. I can develop all the prostate pleasure I can during an Aneros session and keep my cock completely out of the picture! So simple!

The fourth “goal” of the “chastity cup” is to encourage an arousal while not wearing one. Invariably when I am not wearing one (during the day), I am more inclined to touch, fondle and caress my package regardless of what else I am wearing or doing. This can be done discreetly (generally not in public) and it is very effective, at least for me.

And a fifth purpose of wearing a “chastity cup” is in the arousal that it can provide while wearing it. Depending on the wearer, the cup can be very arousing in itself. I find this to be true; that is why I like wearing one at night when I sleep. The night-time erections that occur while wearing a cup are especially stimulating. I can feel close to the PONR at times, depending on my arousal and which “cup” I am wearing.

Take-away
For me, wearing a male “chastity cup” (or an athletic supporter with hard cup) is as much a natural part of my day as showering or shaving. I find it sexually stimulating and satisfying. I don’t consider it kinky. Yes, it can be considered a fetish, but one that integrates well with my self-worth as a male. I find that it enhances my masculinity. I realize that it may not appeal to all guys, but if you have never tried it (as I have not only until a couple of years ago) I would recommend purchasing one, put it on and see how you feel! You may be very surprised at the results!

PS Not mentioned yet, but each hard cup is designed to wrap-around and under the scrotum and perineum; in sports, this prevents injury to the prostate from below. As used in male chastity, the design of the cup is such that it provides yet more stimulation of the male package. Sweet!

PS Athletic supporters are available with a “soft cup” and I have one. However, I find that it generally is not good, for a couple of reasons. First, it is possible to stimulate the male package through the soft cup. Why wear a cup at all? And second, the soft cup does not provide needed stimulation of the perineum as the hard cups do. Needless to say, I do not wear mine very much these days!

PS Male “chastity cups” are not to be confused with male “chastity cages” or “cock cages”. The cock cage (such as the CB-6000S) is designed to envelop securely the male penis, usually with a lock. I own several cock cages, have worn them and like them. But I prefer the chastity cups since they are easier to “manage”, especially without a keyholder.
