Choosing the right Aneros (not the ‘Helix Syn’)

For just under a year, I’ve (40 straight [M]) had the Aneros ‘Helix Syn’ with little/no success.

After using different strategies, I’ve come to the realization that the angle and/or length/width of the ‘helix syn’ isn’t hitting the spot for me.
Whether it’s too short or long I’m not sure of, but I think the angle of the head is somewhat ‘off’. I believe it needs to be applying somewhat more pressure than I’m able to do simply by contracting different muscle groups.

The only time I feel something that resembles pleasure, is when I slightly pull the rear tab. Because of this, I’m thinking that I might want to try another Aneros model. I’ve read many different threads discussing different techniques, mindsets etc; but I believe that the issue is the angle of the device (I’ve been at it quite frequently, up to hours at the time).

So my question is: which one to choose? It’s hard to tell from the pictures online, therefore I hope that someone might be able to give their opinion.

Alternatively, I’ve looked into the njoy pure wand, but to be honest it’s 1) pricy and 2) pretty intimidating.

Anyways, thank you for reading!

  1. Same. I’ve used the Helix Syn several times now with little success ‘hands free’ but if I manipulate it using the tabs I can get the stimulation going. Problem is, my wrist gets tired and I stop. There’s nothing wrong with the product, it just not the right one for me.

I’m looking forward to trying a New massager…Like you, I’m not sure which one but I’m leaning toward something larger since I really like the feeling full inside.

    The journey continues!

  2. Yes! I’ve used my Helix Syn a couple of times now and was worried I was doing something wrong because I never really felt anything unless I started working on that back pull tab. That’s when I started feeling what some have described.

So, does this mean the Syn is just not the right one for me? Should I get something bigger/longer? And thank you for bringing this up! Glad to know I’m not the only one.

  3. I have more luck with the MGX than the Helix models. You might want to look into the trident series however as the original MGX perineal tab is quite aggressive/painful for long periods of time

  4. I recently had the luxury of trying the syn, njoy wand, and a few other toys in the category. I gave them all a good fair shot and the winner was easily the njoy wand. The small end is barely larger than my gf’s finger at the bulb, and slimmer after. Much less intimidating than I expected, and the way it holds heat totally takes care of foreplay and “warming things up”. Of all the toys, it very reliably provides a really great time. I got one for $105 Canadian using a coupon, and would say if I could only have one toy, this would be it. I really don’t mind using my hand though, and despite being a meditator, don’t find hands free attractive enough to keep trying after the fun I’ve had with this. Feel free to pm if anyone has any questions 🙂

Edit: I did have the same complications with the syn.

  5. I have exactly the same experience with the Helix Syn. Completely relate to only feeling something when pulling the rear tab.

I have the NJoy Pure Wand and it’s my go to toy. I haven’t had a prostate orgasm yet, though I came close with the aid of an edible.

I also really like the Levitt Caesar. You can get it for a reasonable price using AliExpress.

  6. It would be very interesting to see how tall everyone is in comparison to which works best for them. I’m 5’7” 190 and I think I prefer the sgx over the Helix. I found all p-take to be too aggressive and ended up bending them out a little with a heat gun so they apply less pressure.
