Being 67-years-old now, I will admit that I grew up through the “disco” era of the 70s and 80s. This music has been all but rejected as of late, but I lived through it. Very early this morning, while searching on YouTube for some nice tracks, I began to listen to some of the old-time disco “classics” almost by accident, and let me tell you, there was still a “spark” that ignited through my memory-banks!
Listening Session
I won’t elaborate on the specific titles, but listening to these classics brings back a wealth of memories. There is no need to suppress these feelings; they are part of my existence and are residing in my subconscious mind! I lived through these songs, I danced to them, I fantasized through them and I made love through them*!
These tracks now seem to energize in me a new realm, a new beginning to my sexuality. Do these tracks somehow tie-in to my Aneros prostate pleasure sessions? Absolutely! The mindset that these songs generate in me is totally beyond normal, rational comprehension! It is so important to let-go, fantasize and just give-in to the feelings these tracks elicit. That pleasure is just beyond words! “Disco is dead?” Come-on, get real! Just give a listen! I’m sure more than a few of us “old-timers” remember those days!

* A little bit of disco trivia here:
“In 1975, American singer and songwriter Donna Summer recorded a song which she brought to her producer Giorgio Moroder entitled “Love to Love You Baby” which contained a series of simulated orgasms. The song was never intended for release but when Moroder played it in the clubs it caused a sensation. Moroder released it and it went to number 2. It has been described as the arrival of the expression of raw female sexual desire in pop music. A 17-minute 12 inch single was released. The 12″ single became and remains a standard in discos today.”
PS One of my all-time disco favorites was “Ain’t That Enough For You” by John Davis and The Monster Orchestra. The lyrics (in part) sum-up my feelings through this era:
