The “Why” of Male “Chastity Cups” —– Explained.

Introduction
I slept overnight in my XO “chastity cup”. It is probably the most comfortable cup I own. Early this morning, while lying in bed, I thought about the reasons why I like to wear these cups so much. And here is what I discovered…The answers came to me in rapid succession: Who? What? When? How? And finally…..Why?

It is the “Why” which distinguishes my use from all the others. Let me explain…….

Who?
Of course, male athletes wear cups to protect their groins from injury. If you watch a sporting event, perhaps baseball, you will notice a distinct “bulge” in the guy’s groin. It is quite obvious. That is the outline of the cup. Depending on the brand, it can be quite pronounced.

I wear a cup too for protection…..protection from masturbation and ejaculation! It is the same vital organs that I too am protecting.

What?
Both male athletes and I wear athletic supporters (jockstraps, if you will) with what is known as a “cup”. There is usually a “fold” of fabric in the pouch that is large enough to receive a groin cup. The jockstrap could be worn without a cup, but it is really designed for one and should be worn that way.

I wear a jockstrap/cup combination both for chastity control as well as an aid in Aneros use, wherein the back of the strap is open for ready access and non-interference for sessions from the leg straps.

When?
For athletes, this is a no-brainer. While dressing for the game, the baseball player will put-on the jockstrap/cup (or compression short/cup) as part of his uniform. For him, it is just another piece of gear.

For me, I get the most benefit of wearing a jockstrap with cup when I am practicing semen retention (SR). I can also wear one when I have an Aneros prostate-massage session. It is common now for me to wear one in bed overnight, for the sexual stimulation it provides.

How?
For athletes and myself alike, all we do is put-on the jockstrap and cup like putting-on a pair of underwear. Of course, the cup has to be positioned in front, with the “bulge” facing outward! Once in position, the athlete and I can go-about our regular daily tasks, whatever they may be.

Why?
Ah, this is the question that didn’t “stump” me but caused the most thought. For athletes, the “why” is pretty self-explanatory. He is protecting a vital part of his anatomy from injury during the game, nothing more, nothing less.

But for me, the answer is two-fold, perhaps three-fold. I like the sexual stimulation the jockstrap/cup provides me. The cup makes contact all-around the male groin, enveloping the male genitals completely. The perineum is also protected (and stimulated) with most cups. Depending on the jockstrap tightness, the pressure applied to the cup can be greater or less, depending on the brand and the size selected. With each successive day in chastity (in my case, semen retention), there is more sexual frustration. (Newcomers to male chastity play may not understand this but therein lies the attraction and ‘thrill’ of male chastity—you want to ejaculate, you need to ejaculate but you CAN’T ejaculate!)

Secondly, and probably most important, in male chastity “play” the groin cup (or “chastity cup” as I like to call it) absolutely prevents me from masturbating and hence, ejaculating. The pressure on my frenulum with an erection can be most arousing, and it can feel like I am heading towards an ejaculation. But my experience is that there is not quite enough stimulation to cause an ejaculation.

Thirdly, wearing a “chastity cup” leads-in seamlessly to an Aneros session and the “hands-off-the-cock” rule for Aneros is automatically enforced while wearing it.

Conclusion
Well, now everything you need to know about male “chastity cups”!

PS I have not addressed male chastity “cock cages” (like my CB-6000S). They don’t really have a ‘dual-purpose’ like the cups although they too are very effective at preventing masturbation and ejaculation. Also, with a key-holder, they are much more secure and harder to ‘cheat’!
