About a month ago I started incorporating contractions as opposed to just sitting there and being still, however I don’t really know what I’m doing.
I don’t know the difference between my sphincter muscles, an anal contraction, or a rectal contraction. The ‘getting started’ page doesn’t illustrate what they are or how to physically recognize them, (neither did google) so as far as I know I have only been doing one of those and I don’t even know which one. Last night I payed extra attention to what I was feeling. I thought I had managed to contract two different muscle groups but I later realized I was doing the same group but at different strengths and starting the contraction in different places.
The contraction I know is flex the muscles you would use to stop peeing mid-stream. If someone could explain how to recognize/contract the right muscle groups or point me towards another information page, I would be very grateful.

Mindgasm.net has an audio tutorial series that helps you learn to control the muscles. Using a toy like aneros while doing this helps.
I read before that you need bio feedback. To do that, contracting while you have your finger in your sphincter. When you feel a squeeze on your finger, you’ve contracted the right one
