Hi. I’ve been using aneros for almost a year now. I’ve gotten to the point where I can achieve a meditative-like state and where the aneros feels really good relatively quick after starting a session.
But I’ve yet to have a session that lasted over an hour. I’m a very busy person who does not live alone so most of my sessions last about half an hour if they’re during the day, and that half hour feels good.
At night I get too tired after about half an hour and fall asleep / lose my arousal.
A couple days ago I had some time during the day and at about the half hour mark after waves of tingles my arousal seemed to die. Usually I have sessions at night and this is a sign that I am too tired to continue so I end the session. But this time it was the middle of the day and I was not tired so I continued.
Sure enough my arousal came back in slow building waves. But this time it was different, I had to actively relax/meditate way way less, it was almost like the arousal and effects of the aneros were happening on their own, like they were inevitable and coming no matter what I did. It was almost like breaking past the half hour(ish) point had moved me into the “second stage” of the aneros session.
How it felt:
1. Stage 1: you have to “actively relax” to feel things, which feel good. Sometimes they build and fall but they still depend in your active attention and relaxation. Feeling “high” and “cloud-headed.”
2. Stage 2: I felt the aneros itself much much less, but felt its *effects* more, almost like it was just part of me. Feelings started to build regardless of active relaxation. Feel less “high” and more clear, intense, and grounded.
Unfortunately soon after I started feeling this I was interrupted and had to end the session.
Now I am resolved to wait until I have a multiple-hour uninterrupted time in the middle of the day, which unfortunately might not happen for a while. : (
How do you experience session length? Do you experience “stages” of an aneros session (similar to mine or not)?
How long are your sessions normally? Is there a “mandatory time length” to you?

Hey, sounds like you are on your way and you may condition your body to experience pleasure quicker. I am aware of others that can have quick sessions and get to whatever their end goal is, but all my successful sessions are at least 3+ hours.
If I have a day or night to myself (I rarely do), I tend to go on for up to 6 hours, and my deepest pleasure starts at the 3 hour mark.
Initially there is relaxation (1st hour), then pleasurable tingles all over my body (2nd hour), then P-Waves and dry orgasms (3rd hour) and afterwards I can get into either calm sea floating wave orgasms or intense super orgasms. Afterwards I am relieved and energized, ready to get on with my day.
The way to bring this on quicker exists (THC) but I generally don’t like the hangover afterwards.
At least 40-50% of my sessions now are what I would consider as successful, with the right level of arousal, the right atmosphere and no distractions. The ratio used to be lower when I tried to force it with limited time or atmosphere.
If my session is distracted and shorter, I will normally resort to a wand or a dildo to release the tension and the frustration.
