I’m an experienced Helix Syn user and recently bought the Peridise (set of 2), mainly to train my muscles and for hemorrhoid prevention. I’ve tried both sizes so far, and the jury is still out on the results…
After inserting the Peridise (both sizes), I get an unpleasant slightly **burning** feeling along most of the length (not just at the anus). After a while it goes away, but comes back too. Has anyone else experienced this? I’m not sure what causes it. Not the lube, as I’m fine with the Helix. Perhaps the hard plastic? There’s no sharp edges that I can notice though.
Regarding technique, I’ve tried the same as with the Helix: doing nothing or slight muscle movements. I’ve had some minor pleasure waves, but never as good as with the Helix. The peristaltic movement that’s sometimes mentioned hasn’t happened yet. If someone has advice regarding technique, any differences with other Aneros models, I’d be happy to hear it.
I’m planning to continue playing with it, see if I can get used to it, but I’m somewhat concerned about the burning feeling, and it’s tempting to use the Helix instead, as it’s more fun 🙂

Are they the only hard plastic models that you have? I’ve noticed that I can get a little bit of stinging with the non-syn models.
As far as technique goes I get the best results just inserting the tip and trying to keep it there without it drawing in. They can feel really good too when they are slowly drawn in with the muscles. I usually have to be really turned on with other models before I get results with the Peridise. I also have a Tempo which is fantastic!
One thing that you can try that will definitely get rid of the stinging is the “condom method.” Put a bit of lube in a condom, put the Peridise in the condom, lube the outside, and bam! You’re good to go.
I get that from all white plastic toys, but the syn toys are fine
