I purchased an Aneros Syn V on Black Friday and have generally felt disappointed with my limited experiences so far.
Let me begin by saying I’m not chasing the Big O. I realise it takes months, sometimes years, before you might have the Big O. I have, however, been interested in prostate milking or something lesser than the Big O.
Now, I’ve had maybe four or five sessions, so I’m a complete noob. I’d never had any luck before whatsoever. Tonight, however, I decided to give it yet another go before deciding if I’m going to keep it or return it before the 60 days are up. I came back home after staying at my parents’ for the holidays; decided as I hadn’t had much alone time, I’d be aroused and might feel something special.
# The Session
I gave it a go and I quickly got hard and kept my boner for a good ten minutes or so, before it died down. I got a boner again and kept it for another ten minutes or so before, again, it died down. At this point, I thought I’d listen to one of my favourite pieces from r/gonewildaudio. I got a boner again and felt very aroused. Decided I’d top it off by watching one of my favourite porn videos.
Long story short, I’m very aroused, haven’t touched my dick at all, but then suddenly feel like I’m about to have an orgasm. I think I achieved it by altering the angle of my body as I raised and lowered my body whilst doing Kegel contractions. I both came a lot and had an orgasm, but my boner died down and I couldn’t keep going. It was toe curling and powerful. Very nice. But I have had several toe curling, powerful, hands-free orgasms in the past. I genuinely can’t tell if this was a prostate orgasm or a penile orgasm?
# Final Thoughts
Honestly, even though it was nice, even falsely assuming I can have a great orgasm like tonight’s consistently every time I tried, I can’t see how it’s worth it given how much time, effort and planning needs to go into having a prostate massage session.

You had a hfwo, hence the refractory period. Arousal and being hard are two separate things. Your prostate will swell when aroused. You say you’ve only had 4 or 5 sessions and feel disappointed? HooBoy, then prostate massage may not be for you. Unless you learn to release all expectations, you will be disappointed over and over and over. You had a prostate orgasm, but because of all the tension(most likely from being hard?) You had a wet orgasm. Next time, practice relaxing(laying still) and staying aroused(mentally) and let your body do the moving for you. If you do need a little push, do a clench and hold for a minute or so or until you feel pleasure and then release that hold. Good luck.
If you were hard, and ejaculated, and then had a refractory period, it was a penile orgasm. Your prostate was no doubt putting out p-waves that enhanced the experience, but it was still a traditional orgasm even if it was hands-free.
Dry prostate orgasms are a different experience. They don’t cause a refactory period, or even loss of arousal. They can just keep going. It’s like taking that very first part of a traditional orgasm before the first blast, and stretching it out to much longer duration. They can last minutes, and often come in waves. Once experienced with what works for you, it’s possible to stay in this state for hours. The dry orgasms will often keep getting better and more intense in a long session before eventually fading off. And the sessions themselves will keep getting better and more intense over time. I’m not saying every session will be better than the last, but periodic breakthroughs to new levels of pleasure are common (and sometimes frequent). If there’s an upper limit I haven’t reached it yet, and I’ve been having these for about 2 years now.
So I would say keep at it if that sounds appealing to you. But you might have to change up your approach if you’re having unintentional HFWO’s. Try to focus more on relaxation and breathing rather than clenching and thrusting. I find that dry prostate orgasms and Super-O’s require a less “active” approach; the goal is to get to a state where your body takes over on its own and you’re just along for the ride.
Whatever happens in the next few sessions you plan, don’t return the massager. Months, even years of preparation are sometimes necessary to achieve the best possible results. But what I can say is that it is absolutely worth it.
In my experience, finding and maintaining the right head space is the most important thing to achieve enroute to multiple prostate orgasm
