I had my first session with the aneros and while I had lots of pleasure, at times it felt like the aneros was pressing way too hard into my sweet spot to the point of pain. I tried adjusting it with my hand but that didn’t really make a difference. It seemed to worst when I was on my back. Any advice?

Which model are you using?
With the Trident series they made the ends of the arms really thin, as a way for it to move sideways, even though it doesn’t really work. All that happens is as you said, it digs in like crazy and can ruin the session.
What I do is fold one square of toilet paper a few times, so you have a small rectangular pad. I centre the arm in that as a buffer between the toy and my perineum, and its comfortable for hours.
It also kind of puts a little more leverage on the toy too.
I’m not sure why they decided the tiny sharp bit would be nice jabbed into your perineum, especially when the rest of the device is so perfect.
The rats on the Progasm are perfect, they should use that for all models. Just a nice round ball end
You can cut the bulb off a medicine dropper, or a baby bottle nipple, and stretch that over the tabs.
