Pain for 4 months since last session

I was a semi frequent user of my aneros and never really had any issues until one evening I did a 2 hour session. The next morning, I had a very tense aching pain extending from my tailbone area through the butt crack area (and part of the cheek) perineum and up to the base of the penis. All of these pains are strictly on the right side. It feels more like sharp pain when tending up my pelvic floor muscles or when going from sitting to standing or vise verse.

I thought maybe I just pulled a muscle, so I waited for it to heal with time. It’s now been 4 months since the pain started and it hasn’t stopped. It’s not as severe as day 1 but it’s felt like it has plateaued and not gotten any better. I saw my family doctor last week but she thinks a urologist and prostate exam would be a better route. She had no clue on what’s wrong with me. Anyone here had chronic pain come from a session like what I’m describing?

  2. I haven’t had that same experience from prostate play. However, I do have a hypertonic pelvic floor and have gone to pelvic floor physical therapy for it. I was having issues with testicular pain and referred pain down one of my legs and it’s entirely from constant, excessive pelvic floor tension. Physical therapy has helped me learn to better identify if I’m holding tension in my pelvic floor and then relax it as well as massaging trigger points to release them. I’ve also identified some weak muscles that force the pelvic floor to compensate, and strengthening those has helped too.

It’s been a couple months since I started going and I’ve had a lot of pain reduction and improved mobility since everything is moving in sync again. I would definitely talk to your doctor and see if you can get a referral – it’s been a game changer for me.
