Help me take that next step

Hello! I’ve been working through my sessions, making incredible progress, and feel like I’m at a point where I might need some advice. I’ve been able to achieve p-waves regularly and get to where I feel like a prostate orgasm is within reach but I’m unable to get over the threshold. I can achieve a growing feeling of tingling, warmth, pleasure, arousal, involuntaries, and large muscle quaking but seem to have plateaued. It feels like “edging” but without the conclusion. Here are two quotes from the wiki I’ve been thinking about in relation to what I’m feeling and what I’m doing:

>If you feel something building don’t hammer it with a strong contraction. Instead approach it very gingerly…
>
>When you feel encouraging sensations, think more in terms of supporting them or bolstering them with some supportive contractions and rhythmic breathing. Once the orgasm is imminent, you may employ stronger contractions to constructive ends.

I’ll get to a point where my entire lower body is quaking; the glutes, hamstrings, and quads are going crazy and I feel the near-orgasmic pleasure building and I believe this is where, perhaps, I’m making some mistakes. At this point, I feel like any light squeezing is impossible and I can only contract tightly, entirely bridging my waist (I prefer to be on my back with my legs slightly bent and my feet flat). When I get here, it feels very much like a penile orgasm build-up (but originating from the prostate) and I think my mind it telling me to “push the orgasm to completion” in a way similar to typical masturbation; something I’m aware isn’t the recommended approach. I’d like to just let it happen and take me over but when I get to this point and focus on my breathing, a gentle approach, and the sensations, that warm, tingling, building sensation seems to just fade away.

The are some things I *think* might be the problems (maybe I’m totally off-base) and would love some insight into. For starters, I’m new to using a lot of these muscles voluntarily and I believe they’re relatively weak or perhaps just not controlled very precisely. I’m also very stuck in my ways of “traditional” masturbation. Getting off has always been a very straight-forward process of stroking until I got the results I wanted and the prostate seems to demand far more finesse than I’m familiar with. I’ve also found that while I’m in this “edging” state, my legs and ass muscles eventually get tired; I regularly exercise but 15 straight minutes of intense quaking is leading to some muscle exhaustion that seems to also lead to the fading of the pleasure.
I think it’ll help to mention my mental space seems to be my strength, maybe I can leverage that? I have no issues getting aroused and staying aroused; even for a entire 90 minute session. I’ve been practicing mindfulness meditation for nearly a decade and I’m very in-tune with my feelings and the bodily sensations I experience. I’m also very good at relaxing and maintaining either a focused or unfocused headspace.

Should I take it as a good sign that I can get to this edging state in the first place and just try to stay there as long as possible and eventually it’ll just take itself even further?
Anyone have experience with getting too worn out from their entire body quaking for several minutes straight?
Any tips on maintaining a state of relaxation while the prostate pleasure is building to a point where your whole body is reacting to it without also losing all that building tingling and warmth?
I’m also going to add that I’m not interested in any drug-related advice; thanks but no thanks.

  2. Sounds like you are doing really well.

I have been playing for 18 months with Aneros and while I have not got to the Super O yet I can now regularly (I only play once or maybe if really luck twice a week) get to a HFWO, which in itself is great. My sessions also seem to get better and better, with more and more pgasms, which are just like an mini (and sometimes not so mini) orgasm but without the fluid.

I get very vocal and playing with my nipples seems to be a big part of raising the level of the feelings.

Have you tried stretching out your legs and relaxing things more or perhaps lying down with calf resting on bed or chair to take away some of the strain?

Have you tried the Mindgasm lessons which seem to allow you to relax into things and let the gasams build in strength?

I would also recommend practicing the kegals Aless whenever you can – it definitely can cause great feeling of arousal and very nice flutters in the prostrate without need to be in private space.

    Hope this is helpful

  3. You don’t explicitly say but it sounds like you are using a more active approach with intentional contractions?

I very much follow a “do nothing” approach. My strategy is to get into a position which induces instability in the device (ex- on my side with one knee up to chest and the other leg straight) and maintain an unfocused headspace, waiting for sensations. Once sensations of pleasure arrive, which they consistently do, I will switch from unfocused to a focused headspace with the actual physical sensations being the sole point of my focus.

I have found that intent focus on being aware of and experiencing these physical sensations makes it easy to completely give myself over to it and “get over the line” as you phrase it. But to me it isn’t really experienced as getting over an imaginary line, it is more like simply *letting it happen* to me.

    >Should I take it as a good sign that I can get to this edging state in the first place and just try to stay there as long as possible and eventually it’ll just take itself even further?

When I get to this state I find that [trying not to orgasm](https://wiki.malegspot.com/index.php?title=Advanced_Skills#Try_not_to_orgasm) often is the best thing to do.

I find that it’s completely fine, even beneficial, to allow the relaxation to grow into *physical* excitement if that’s where my body takes me. What’s important is not to get *mentally* excited (“Oh my god I think I might be about to…!”) which almost always leads to “chasing” the orgasm. Chasing the O is the fastest way to abort all progress towards one in my experience.

  4. Visualize in your mind’s eye what your muscles and/or Aneros are doing to your prostate. Feel a twitch or jolt? Think about how that’s the prostate contracting and quivering. Feel swelling? That’s the gland filling up and expanding, and pushing against the massager as it taps away relentlessly. Ugh, brb…

Anyway, you get the idea. Mental imagery, and sometimes descriptive wording can be very arousing. That’s why some people browse this subreddit during sessions 😉
