Aneros; To get or not to get?

I would ask this in an AskReddit sub, but I never get answers there, so I am going to try my luck here. I am considering getting an Aneros Helix Prostate Massager.

Tell me anything, positive or negative, about them and their experiences to help me make an informed decision.

Also, any suggestions on a hiding spot would be more than welcome.

This will be my first toy specifically for prostate massage and will maybe be better than relying on getting fucked for my so loved prostate orgasm. If I decide to get one, I promise a story will come.

  1. It has a steep learning curve. I hear about people using it for the first time to amazing results, but it took me well over two years before I got the mind blowing results that people sing the praises over.

The toy works off of your sphincter and PC muscles, so if you already have them reasonably developed you might not have a difficult time.

Personally, I’ve moved on from the Aneros brand, as there are toys that wil deliver the same or similar experiences such as the Lelo Loki Wave or the Nexus Revo 2 or Nexus Sparta. They use motions rather than muscle control to deliver the pleasure, and I find that I don’t have to concentrate nearly as hard to get a prostate orgasm, and additionally I get there faster and more consistently than I ever have with an Aneros toy.

That said, you’ll have to really open up your wallet if you want any of the toys I just named, whereas you can pick up a Helix for around $30, or a Helix Syn for $40-$50 I’d wager.

  2. I’m straight and have never had a normal dildo but I can keep using the Pure Wand for kind periods without any discomfort. The neck is quite thin so even though it feels like you’re being filled up and fucked you can be quite aggressive with it your asshole isn’t being stretched.

  3. I have an Aneros, an Njoy wand, and a dildo.

The dildo is like driving in a demolition derby. Very physical. You get in, get dirty, and ride it for all it’s worth.

The Njoy is like driving in a Formula 1 race. Still pretty physical, but a very refined ride. Super engineered and modern.

The Aneros is like driving your first girlfriend to Lookout Point to make out for the first time. It’s really exciting at first, but takes a lot of holding hands and cuddling to even get started, and even then, the night might not end up exactly like you thought it would when you started.

I’ve had my Aneros for over a year now. I haven’t gotten a hands-free prostate orgasm yet, probably because it takes a LOT of patience to get there and I get too excited and inevitably use my hands. Of course, it really helps to enhance my orgasms, so I am really satisfied with it, but you are looking for something physical, similar to getting fucked, you’re not going to get it with an Aneros. It’s 95% mental using one.

  4. The Aneros come in a nice box to use as storage and could easily hide in a bookshelf.
