Need suggestions and advice…

I’m fairly new to anal play, I’ve only used my fingers. I have not tried to use a dildo before. At the moment, I’m reading a lot about prostate massage and how great the orgasms are, as well as how the Aneros is great for these things.

Should I start with a dildo first or is it ok to start with an Aneros toy? If you think it’s ok to go straight to Aneros, which would you recommend to someone who has never had toy experience?

  1. Absolutely recommend starting with a prostate massager! Worked for me starting with the Aneros Helix Syn and branched off from there. I recommend starting out with the [Aneros Helix Classic](Helix-classic-prostate-stimulator.aspx" rel="nofollow ugc">http://www.shevibe.com/aneros-Helix-classic-prostate-stimulator.aspx). (The Helix Syn is the same size but costs $19 more, and the thin, hard silicone covering doesn’t really add any comfort for me, YMMV. I later got the Progasm Jr, which has no silicone cover, and the polished plastic feels better and more mobile to me.) The Helix is designed for beginner and intermediate users with “average” anatomy. It has slightly less than a 1” diameter (3” girth), very do-able even for newbies.
Absolutely okay to start with a dildo, plugs, beads etc., etc. too! It’s not rocket science dude, start with something that piques your interest and go from there. Start small, something less than say 1.25 inch diameter, and use lots of lube.

  2. I started off with an inexpensive anal toy which had very good ratings. It turned out to be too large for a newbie, even though it’s a fantastic toy at a fraction of Aneros’ price tag. I was never able to fully insert it without pain. Pretty much with the same experience as you have back then. After failing to properly use it 4-5 times or may be more, I got myself the MGX classic.

It slid right in on the first try, without any discomfort. It makes a whole lot of difference when the toy is precisely made for the anatomy down there. As for MGX vs Helix, Helix had a pointier tip so I went with MGX, out of fear that I’d never be able to insert it fully from past experience. Even though I haven’t achieved one of those Super-Os yet, I think you are better off with the MGX on the long run as I’ve seen other users say that the Helix doesn’t do much after a long time.

If you check their site, you will see that the Helix is more aggressively designed so it’s easier to know what the prostate feels like for first timers. Whereas the MGX is thicker near the middle, so it’s definitely depends a lot more on practicing and having good contractions and movement. So definitely read around before getting one, but aneros is the way to go!

Also do keep in mind, you will probably not achieve one of those amazing orgasms from the first time you start. You have to work towards enjoying the massage. Although some folks can achieve Super-Os early on.
