I bought a Helix Syn during the September sale from the official website. I opened the package and I noticed the red handle was severely scratched. Like it had been dragged across sand paper. The silicone is intact however.
I don’t see how it should be scratched, the box was sealed. The plastic cutout should not be hard enough to scratch the toy. I got paranoid and I checked the website. Apparently Aneros accepts product returns in a 90 day period. Why do companies even allow returns of sex toys?
There was also an odor on the silicone but it got removed when I washed it off. I think it was just the packaging.
I don’t really plan on returning the product since I already threw away the box. Did anyone else receive scratched, brand new items?

Yikes! Sorry to hear that. The only product that I’ve bought directly from Aneros was a Tempo. It showed up in perfect condition. I’ve never read of anyone having a problem similar to yours. I bought my other Aneros from verified stores on Amazon, without any issues.
Awful. But I don’t know of any scenario where they accept used gear…. so it’s probably something that can be attributed to anything other than being “used” .
I would contact customer service and explain your apparent discomfort. See what happens then.
Edit: ok, they take returns. But if They redistribute used gear, they are no longer to be trusted.
Heavily doubt it was used. Scratching can happen during manufacturing. Ive used my products for years and they are not scratched, but if you do feel unessy just return it.
