I decided to do an expose’ on “chastity cups”. My elective use of these “cups” continues in my Aneros journey. Some readers may not be familiar with the term or the device. I find it useful to relate the information in a FAQ style….So here goes….
——
What is a “chastity cup”?
A “chastity cup” is nothing more than a common piece of athletic protective gear for males. It is basically a specialized jockstrap into which a hard protective cup is added. The cup is usually made of a hard plastic. Most of them have air holes for ventilation. These are frequently used by baseball players and umpires. Also, hockey players and especially goalies will wear them. In a nutshell, they are used to protect the male genitalia from injury due to sporting activities or other tasks where injury could occur to that part of the male anatomy. They are designed generally to be as comfortable to wear as possible. Some brands fit better than others.
___
How did I discover them?
I discovered “chastity cups” during my foray into the world of male bondage as an outcropping of semen retention (SR). I explored male “cock cages” and owned several different designs. My favorite is the CB-6000S which I wore (on and off) for a period of several months. I was the keyholder. The “cups” however were much easier to manage than the cages since all that has to be done is put them on and take them off.
Erections while wearing a “cup” are much more comfortable than while wearing a “cage”. You guys that have been in a cock cage know about this.
___
What is it used for?
I use a “chastity cup” to prevent myself from masturbation and ejaculation. I wanted to cut-down on frequent ejaculations and edging sessions. Self-control while in semen retention (SR) is very difficult at best.
I use it during Aneros sessions for the same reason. It absolutely isolates my penis from my prostate and helps to focus attention on prostate orgasms during sessions.
The “chastity cups” are naturally arousing for a lot of guys since they provide some direct stimulation of the erect penis. The base of the cup cradles the perineum and can provide some external prostate massage as well.
Wearing a “chastity cup” for me is extremely sexually arousing and I just like the feeling.
___
Aren’t they uncomfortable to sleep in?
I used to think so, but with more frequent wearing, I now find that sleeping without one is actually more uncomfortable. The cup provides a level of security that others have felt too. Frequently, a night-time erection will wake me up when wearing a cup. This is not too distracting, since sometimes this will naturally lead to a good session since I already am sufficiently aroused. A win-win!
___
How do you control your urge to masturbate during the day when not wearing a “chastity cup”?
This is a hard one! There is a natural tendency to stroke/rub/caress my package through my pants. Sometimes, I seem to do this without thought. I will have to stop myself, even though it feels so good!
___
How do you know when you should ejaculate while wearing a “chastity cup”?
For me, this is easy. I am subject to “blue-balls” and I will feel an internal “ache” I can’t stop except through ejaculation. I’ve tried extended Aneros sessions for prostate “milking” but sometimes I just have to cum. Other tell-tale signs are more precum leakage and/or more frequent spontaneous erections. I even can get them in the shower, where semen disposal is easy!
___
Can I wear one for activities other than an Aneros session?
Absolutely! If I am in the mood, I will wear one while doing outside work. Sometimes, if I’m really horny, I will wear one out in public (while shopping, for example).
I wear one to bed almost every night now. It just feels so good! I feel quite “naked” without one!
___
How well do they complement your Aneros sessions?
They are so much a part of my Aneros sessions now that virtually ALL of my sessions include wearing one. They feel perfectly normal and natural.
___
Aren’t you concerned about a bulge?
Well, a lot of guys like a bigger bulge down-there. You better believe that girls are looking (but very discretely!)
___
Where can I buy one?
I get most of my cups online, usually at Amazon. They can also be purchased at sporting goods stores such as Dick’s.
___
What should I look for when buying one?
The size of the cup is important in that you want your “equipment” adequately surrounded. The cup should cradle the erect penis and the testicles right down to the perineum.
One model that I have is a SafeTGard and the included cup is smaller. It doesn’t accommodate my erect penis. That is okay if I want more stimulation of my frenulum while sleeping.
___
Are some brands better than others?
I have a collection now that includes the following brands: Shock Doctor, XO, SafeTGard, Bike and Mueller. Each one has it own “signature” and you will discover that when you have more than one in your collection.
___
Why so many brands?
I find that each cup/jockstrap design is different and yields different sensations, depending on my mood.
Sometimes, I want a looser feel. Other times, I want a more secure, restrictive fit.
___
Do I have a favorite?
Yes! My favorite is the Shock Doctor Ultra Pro Carbon cup with the 218 jockstrap. I like it because it “fits” my erect penis the best and is very supportive around the scrotum. I can’t “cheat” by wearing this cup.
___
Why is the scrotum fit so important?
Some of the cups fit loosely by design. But for use in a “chastity cup” that looseness can be a liability as it can allow the wearer (me) to access the area beneath the pouch for some manual stimulation which is not allowed while in chastity!
___
Why can’t I just wear a jockstrap?
I have asked the same question early-on. A “regular” jockstrap certainly fits well and supports your male package. But it is useless in that there is just too much temptation to stroke and massage the package beneath the pouch. I have discovered this through trial-and-error. Wearing just a jockstrap can lead me to a full-blown edging session and will result in an ejaculation, which I don’t want while in chastity!
Ever have a boner while wearing a jockstrap? What do you want to do with it? You get my point!
___
Don’t the straps get in the way of the massager?
No, most of them do not. If they come too close, the straps can be moved farther apart so they do not interfere with the massager.
___
Can’t I just wear a jockstrap instead of a “chastity cup”?
No! The jockstrap provides more direct stimulation of your package while the cup does not. It is not as secure. There is a distinct difference in the way the “chastity cup” feels.
___
Can I have a wet dream while wearing one?
I would like to have one but so far I have not. While performing Aneros sessions, I have come very close to a HFWO (hands-free wet orgasm). The cup will safely catch the semen and will not make a mess on the bed!
___
Are there any side-effects from wearing one?
Not really. They should be laundered about once a week to keep them clean. Also, the cups can be washed separately. I use some bleach as well. I have noticed some occasional groin irritation (chafing and/or rubbing) depending on the cup used. Usually, some Vaseline or lotion will quickly relieve it.
___
Do you think this is a fetish?
Probably, but for me it is quite “normal” now. As I indicated, the primary reason for wearing one is masturbation control. I wear these to support my continuing practice of semen retention (SR) and they work extremely well in this regard.
___
Can you be locked-up in a “chastity cup”?
There are some expensive male “chastity belts” on the market that lock but they look cumbersome and normal bodily functions don’t seem to be addressed well when wearing one. Also, daily hygiene can be a bother (much like wearing a male cock cage where you are not the keyholder).
___
Why do you recommend them?
For me, they are a natural “partner” to an Aneros session. All the attention is then directed towards my prostate in my sessions, where it belongs! Having an Aneros session while wearing a “chastity cage” adds another exciting dimension to the sexual nature of this activity.
___
What can you tell me about “chastity cups” that I may not know?
I never wore a cup throughout my younger days in school. Yes, I wore jockstraps for gym and swimming and probably developed a sexual fetish towards them. I used jockstraps during my early masturbation days. But I never discovered cups until my Aneros journey. I never knew that they could be so sexually arousing. Wearing one any time of the day or night can transport me to a sexually satisfying yet frustrating place. (Isn’t that the essence of male chastity?) By definition, while wearing a cup, I have no access to my package and when combined with semen retention (SR) that combination can be extremely frustrating! It sometimes can take me right up to the PONR! The ultimate pleasure-trip for a male!
___
I’ve never worn a cup before. Why should I try it now?
I had no experience with them either before Aneros. For some guys, myself included, jockstraps and cups can be extremely arousing sexually. If you are having issues with ED, this may be just the thing to help you! My use of “chastity cups” has improved by Erectile Dysfunction (ED) symptoms (I had Delayed Ejaculation (DE)) and my use of Aneros has improved by BPH symptoms.
PS A special shout-out to @BigGlansDC for his inspiration and advice about jockstraps and cups along this journey!
