Is Your Arousal “Switch” On or Off?

I was thinking about this this morning. I am currently in Day 4 of SR and wore my XO “chastity cup” to bed. I awoke about 2:30 AM with a hard, throbbing erection that I could feel right down to my prostate. I lay in bed, motionless for about 15 minutes or so. I honestly felt like I was on my way to an ejaculation! I had a “peeing” feeling down in my cock; feeling suspended in time close to the PONR. And all of these sensations got me thinking….

Male arousal is like a switch: it is either “on” or “off”. There is no middle-ground, no “gray area”. Why is that? Well, I think the answer is pretty obvious. Male arousal is designed for one purpose: ejaculation! That’s right, why else would the arousal occur?

As a refresher, the stages of sexual arousal in males are: Excitement, Plateau, Orgasm and Ejaculation, Resolution
[Note that Orgasm and Ejaculation generally are not the same thing].

I believe I awoke in the “Plateau” stage and was close to the “Orgasm” stage since I felt like I was only a stroke or two away from ejaculating. But I did not ejaculate; I believe my wearing of a “chastity cup” prevented unnecessary stimulation of my penis and thus an ejaculation. After a time of strong arousal in bed, I began to “climb-down” the arousal mountain and my erection within the cup began to subside.

How does all of this relate to Aneros sessions? Everyone talks about being “aroused” prior to the start of a session. Of course, having an erection is important. But for me, my “best” sessions occur when I am in the “Plateau” or “Orgasm” phases of arousal. That is why I sometimes decide on having a session in the wee hours of the morning, usually when I am awakened by a very powerful erection, such as the one I just had this morning. I feel that there is a small “window” of opportunity for me to have a good session if I start a session not too long after I begin the descent down the “arousal mountain”. Even if my erection has subsided, I feel that there is sufficient arousal remaining to rev-up my prostate during a session. This session can then quickly ramp-up my arousal through an erection, progressing through the plateau stage and finally into the orgasm stage (where I will experience dry-o’s). Very rarely will there be an ejaculation (a HFWO!)

So, Aneros and arousal are intimately intertwined! That is why arousal is so key to a great Aneros session!
