“Refractory Period Following Prostate Massage?”

Introduction
I have noticed with “daily” Aneros sessions, that I invariably experience a pseudo-“refractory period” following the session. I looked-up “refractory period” online and discovered this definition (ref. ISSM – International Society for Sexual Medicine):

******

“What is the refractory period?

After orgasm, both men and women experience a resolution stage. At this time, their bodies “recover” from sexual excitement and return to their normal states. For men, the penis becomes flaccid again and he goes through a refractory period.

During the refractory period, a man doesn’t think about sex or get aroused. His body does not respond to sexual stimulation and he is unable to reach orgasm again until the period is over. The length of the refractory period is different for every man. It may take a half hour or more for his body to perform sexually again.

Younger men may need only a few minutes of recovery time, but older men usually have a longer refractory period, sometimes between 12 to 24 hours. For some men, the refractory period can last a few days.

Experts aren’t sure why the length of refractory periods varies so much among men. But they do know that the length of time needed is not related to potency or testosterone levels.”

So here, with prostate stimulation alone and no ejaculation, my question is: can I as a male experience a “refractory period” without experiencing an ejaculation? I believe the answer is “Yes!” based on my “symptoms” following the prostate massage: my penis becomes very flaccid for a period of time. I don’t think about sex and am unable to get aroused. I do not respond to sexual stimulation of any kind. I cannot reach orgasm again until after this “refractory period” is over.

How long is this period for me? I honestly haven’t timed it, but I would guess a period of at least 1-2 hours. Based on my strong arousal level “pre-Aneros” and my non-existent arousal level “post-Aneros”, I most certainly am experiencing a “refractory period”. Intriguing!….

PS Session
I began the morning with a very arousing erection followed by a session with the MGX. Once again, I experienced a fantasy wherein I am at my urologist’s office for my annual checkup and he now “prepares” all his male patients with an Aneros prostate massage (he likes the MGX and uses it himself!) I was to get about 20-25 minutes of prep. I was wearing a “cup” for modesty on the prep table, and was given a condom to put-on (just in case I had an ejaculation during the prep). This prep made me very aroused and close to ejaculating. (I am in Day 11 of SR).

PS A “real” refractory period!
I had to finish-off this nice morning with a TO. I used ‘edgemeplease’ not knowing whether or not I would be allowed to cum. Since I already was wearing a condom, the ‘stroking’ was very stimulating! One interesting thing about this edging: as I got closer to the PONR, I realized that the “orgasmic” feeling I get when performing Aneros sessions is exactly the same “feeling” I got just before this ejaculation! Not surprising in the least, but now I believe that many times during sessions, I am experiencing prostate orgasms, however mild! When I saw that green “Cum” screen, I was ecstatic! Wonderful!
