I raised a question on the forum recently. It had to do with “edging” frequency and duration. I generally do not edge all that often since this action usually precipitates in me the dreaded “blue-balls”. However, it seems clear to me now that in fact I do “edge” and often—almost every night! Astounding? How you may ask. Let me explain……
Night-time Edging
Usually, I retire for the night wearing only pajamas. Nothing unusual there. But it is what happens in the middle of the night that needs an explanation. I practice semen retention (SR) all the time now. In fact, I am currently in Day 4. I know that SR helps to boost my testosterone level and I can feel it. It also aids me in my Aneros sessions.
Every healthy guy gets night-time erections*—-they come like clockwork to help keep his penis healthy. They are good and beneficial. But in my case, some of these (particularly the last one) are so strong and so arousing that they wake me up. This morning, I awoke (or rather was awakened) by a rock-hard erection and a close to PONR feeling that lasted I believe at least 15 minutes while I was awake (unknown time while I was asleep). If you’ve ever experienced this, you know the feeling. Every little movement, every little “twitch” seems to propel me ever so closer to that PONR and an ejaculation! I can feel pressure building-up in my perineum and my prostate. It feels like an automatic “edging” session. What to do? Is there any solution?

I have found that in fact, there is an “easy” solution to this “nocturnal edging”. I am a proponent of “chastity cups”—-male groin protection commonly used in athletic supporters. In this case, however, the cups cradle and protect my male package in a way that prohibits me from touching my cock. In short order after putting it on, I feel the “fire” being extinguished, usually in about 10 minutes or so. The “edging” is thwarted, I am climbing-down the PONR “mountain” and the potential ejaculation is nullified. This technique is quite reliable for me and I just used it this morning. I am still wearing it as I type up this blog.
Take-Away
Perhaps it is the continuous practice of semen retention, but my night-time erections are very strong and usually wake me up. Should I be “edging” more to try to release semen through a “ruined orgasm”? Should I be performing more Aneros sessions to release precum and/or prostate fluid? Should I be having wet dreams? I think the answer is a resounding “Yes!” to all. Touche’.
