Hi all, been using my helix syn for months on and off now with little progress. All I really get is some minor pleasurable feelings in my prostate and not much else, so I’m thinking of buying another toy eventually. I’ve thought about the njoy purewand and it seems like a good choice but it’s quite expensive and I hear people’s wrists get tired quickly from using it, which won’t exactly help I don’t think. At this point I just want to make progress and I’m not making any with my helix. I think the coating on it is damaged somehow as there is a distinct pattern visible on it that seems to repel lube, which obviously just makes things more difficult.

I was in exactly the same place as you a year or so ago. I’ve bought more toys and made more progress since then (but still no O), and oddly each toy has made me find out new things about using the Helix Syn.
I’ve never had much luck with my Njoy wand, but the Eupho and Progasm have been quite fun.
First off, apologies for the essay. I did much the same as you. I started a bit less than a year ago with the Helix Syn Trident, and felt like I needed more. So I got the Peridise 2 pack and the Progasm Ice to experiment further. The Peridise were to test if I wanted more movement, the Progasm for a more filling feeling. Turns out that I enjoy them all, and each for their own abilities.
I’m not sure what could be wrong with your Helix. You may want to contact customer support with photos to sort that out. If lube has trouble staying on the toy, you may want to pre-lube internally with an injector or plastic syringe. I use about 3ml of coconut oil for this.
I recently got the Pure Wand, which I found for about $100(worth it!). It differs from the Aneros in that it is not a hands-free toy. You might be able to prop it up somehow, but all the Aneros models I use are better hands-free options. The wand’s main feature for me is the precise and steady prostate pressure for milking sessions. I haven’t had this one for long, so I’m still learning.
I find that it’s quite difficult to get the “right” toy in the first go, so it is helpful to try more models to find that perfect fit. I see a lot of recommendations for the Eupho or MGX to get deeper and more movement. The Progasm and the slightly smaller Jr are the more filling types.
Some things you could to try to figure out what to get next could be to push in the Helix a little to see if you get a more intense “got to pee” sensation. If so, then you probably want a taller model. If tugging on the tail feels better, you probably want a fuller model like the Progasm/Jr. As a last resort, you could get a glove on and lube up a few fingers and see if you can locate your prostate that way. Other tips would be to clean yourself as best as you can, maybe try more or a different lube, and maybe try nipple play, if you haven’t already done so.
Sorry again for the long reply, hope it helps. The Aneros forums helped me a lot when I was starting out, and they’re doing monthly giveaways this year, if I recall correctly. Most importantly, do what feels good and makes you happy, for that is the ultimate goal, yeah?
