New to this

So I’m new to prostate play, and I want to get an aneros of some variation. I figured the more experienced people on this subreddit would be as good of a place as any to ask some questions.

Any starting aneros to suggest, not a total stranger to things in the ass.

Does (and forgive me if I’m naive) prostate play have any side effects or dangers? I still want to be able to function normally with my wife. I didn’t know if the re-wiring changed that negatively or if it was a positive or a non-factor.

Any specific lube to use?

And advice would be helpful

  1. Prostate play will not affect anything really. Though sometimes after a good session your prostate is very awake and can be bothersome when trying to fall asleep. I have many of their devices, each one has a unique feel but my go to is the MGX. Mind you I started on the Progasm. I typically use water based lube but coconut oil is good also.

  2. I think many start with something smaller like the Helix Syn trident and advance to something larger like the Progasm. But if you know you can take the Progasm right away, nothing wrong with that. They are both good. The MGX I’m not familiar with (yet). I have the Eupho coming this week. Also have the vice 2 but although the vibrations are nice the best results come from the Progasm and hst for me.

  3. Just do what I should have done from the start. Buy 4. MGX, Helix or Eupho, Progasm Jnr, and a Progasm.

They all have a part to play at some point.

I loved my Jnr until I got my Helix. Loved my Helix until I got my MGX. Then the Progasm Ice was on sale and you know what, sometimes the size is good as well.

The MGX is my go to at the moment but last week I used all 4 at some point.

  4. There are no negative side effects or dangers unless you go at it too hard manually. If you use the Aneros toys as instructed, I don’t think anything negative could happen. The only thing I could think is if you try to go too big too fast, you could bleed a little. I’ve done that, so I stop and let things heal up before trying again.

The positive effects are out of this world. It’s still hard for me to believe that this little gland can be the source of such extreme pleasure that it has literally left me in tears, sweating and writhing on my bed. Only to be left with a unique state of relaxation at the end of a session, almost a little blissful, all is right in the world kind of feeling. I used to have to pee all the time, especially on a road trip my family would get so annoyed. I have the urge to pee much less frequently. My ejaculatory orgasms are stronger with a lot more fluid. So these positive effects far outweigh anything negative.

I’d start with the Helix Syn. It’s a great first toy. Then try the MGX Trident. I can’t even express how much I love those two. They are both great for starting out. I own the bigger toys, but find I like the smaller ones better that move a little.

  5. It’s only going to make sex better, can even help health. Just always be a clean freak, don’t go to hard, relax, no porn, just you and your mew best friend(s) 😉

I have Eupho Syn trident, it’s a must try. So small but hammers Prostate when you use muscles correctly. With that said I plan at leas 2 more Aneros purchases soon. MGX, Progasm, Maximus, Helix. Not sure yet but these are the contenders.

Many agree on Helix Syn trident being the best starter. I didn’t get it because I thought it would be too short for me. But the aggressive hump toward the top would hit the Prostate so nice (based on a ton of prostate massage experience with other brands). I since heard reviews of it being 4 inches insertable, but Aneros shows 3.5 inches. Personally I would recommend the MGX Syn Trident-rated for beginners or intermediate, shares design elements from a few others, Helix, Eupho, plus added ridges at base that many say adds that special feeling that no other device has.
