Up till now I just have the ice, and when I got the Eupho I noticed that the material is much less smooth then the ice.
I got it from there site directly.
Is that normal or did I get a dud?

Normal.
You can use very high grit sanding blocks or pads to smooth the white plastic some. It’s a common practice to improve the slippery feel of the more dull factory finish.
Look for micro mesh pads. There are lots on Amazon that start at 1200 (a good starting point) and go up to 12000.
Wet sand with lower numbers and work your way up to desired smoothness.
That’s normal, but when lubed up you won’t be able to notice.
