  2. I use a homemade lube recipe that has coconut oil in it. I use it on my plastic Aneros toys, not the syn models. If you’d like the recipe, let me know.

  3. I have Crohn’s disease. Within the last year I’ve realized that using Syn models with petroleum jelly is friendly enough with my body that I’m a lot less likely to experience discomfort during my sessions.

  4. Solid Crisco shortening in the can is my go-to. Plant-based, food and body safe, available in the baking aisle at any supermarket, non-staining, unscented, stays slippery for hours, easily cleans up with soap and water, doesn’t damage silicone, and thick and cushioning, and works perfectly in conjunction with a water-based or hybrid lube (I use Sliquid Silk or Sassy). Much thicker than coconut oil, holds its shape just long enough to use a finger to shove a dab up your hole without having to resort to freezing suppositories. For coconut oil, you want organic refined coconut oil, which has little coconut smell, or unrefined if you’re okay with the sickly sweet strong coconut smell.
