An update

It’s been a while since my last post, so I thought I would write a little something. It’s been pretty busy this year, with limited time to use the Helix Syn, but I’ve taken the chance when I can. I’ve also tried to do more with the Peridise, and the last few weeks have been using it more.

As with the Helix, I’ve found that I can try to consciously manipulate it (contract/loosen) and it’s very nice, but that I can go to a next level if I can just relax, do some deep breathing, etc. As with the Helix Syn, I find it helps to just read something (non-erotic) for a few minutes just to avoid focusing on what’s going on down there and generally relax. Then deep breathing coupled with conscious relaxation.. or at least avoiding of any conscious contraction as much as possible.. yields really good results. (“Mindful Anerosing” as @BigGlansDC says.)

An interesting thing about the Peridise is, if I have some time and patience, it makes me hard. I usually don’t have a erection when using the Helix Syn, but lately as I’ve gotten used to the Peridise, it’s giving me erections for a lot of the time, and I’m also more likely to have some fluid leakage.

A change of pace

As I noted in my last post, I ordered the Peridise, and it arrived. I very briefly took it for a spin (the larger of the set that is) earlier in the week, but today (Saturday) was my first chance to give it an extended try.

It was an interesting change of pace. I started out lying on my side, just letting everythign settle in. After a while I tried some anal contractions. After my experiences with the Helix, it did not take long to figure out how to set off somen repetitive contractions. There were a couple instances where I got a very light tingling similar to when I use the Helix, but these were not pronounced and didn’t last long. However, without the angled shape and the P-tab, not nearly as intense as the Helix. Overall, very enjoyable, and a nice addition. (And I also hope it will help out with my minor issues with hemorrhoids.)

But then…

I went in to the bathroom, intending to sit on the toilet and remove it. I relaxed and pushed it out till I felt the first of the 2 small knobs (closer to the large bulb end) was almost out. And then, why not, I tightened up and let it pull itself back in for one last bit of use. And .. this was completely different from what I had gotten lying on the bed. The stimulation at the anus with the second small knob was really intense and I felt the involuntary motion of the Peridise in a way I had not lying on the bed. I don’t know if it was the angle of my legs, or simply gravity having an influence with the Peridise pointed more or less straight down, but something was definitely happening. I will have to experiment further.

Previous week, general notes

So, Wednesday was my “day off” from the Helix Syn. I decided to try out the “Bendy Beads” anal toy I got at the same time as the Helix and had tried a couple times. It looked fun, but I’m liking it less, and now somewhat regret the purchase. It’s just too unwieldy to manage.

Thursday, back with the Helix, had an OK session, about an hour. Good, nothing new to mention.

Saturday, I only had about 1/2 hour and decided to just do a “quickie” and see what I could accomplish. As it turns out, not much.. this was not really a surprise as I knew I wouldn’t have time to really relax etc.

Sunday (today)… hmm. Almost 2 hours worth. This was very good; I felt I reached a new level of using the Helix. I was able to reach a level of warm, tingling sensation, with the Helix feeling like it’s moving independently, especially feeling like it was pushing out.. but I was able to keep it going for a while, rather than having it be over relatively quickly. This happened several times, and it was easier to find my way back to this peak after coming down. Very nice all around. Then… about 4 hours later, I couldn’t resist, I wanted to give it another try just for a bit before dinner. This was another 30-40 time period, with better results (because I was “primed” from my earlier work, I think). It was still a “rush job” though, but I used the chance to try out some different positioning.

Nov 1

So, as expected I had a chance to use the Helix today. I used the Astroglide. It seemed slippery enough, altough it was so thin that it was tricky to get it to go where I wanted and not just drip all over the place.

So, then with the Helix in, lying down and reading. Once again after about 5 minutes I felt the “tingle” starting. I tried to relax and let it go for a few minutes–slow, deep breathing and nipple stim. This time something different happened… I got hard. My Aneros experiences so far have mostly been erection-free, but this time the pulsating of the P-tab seemed to lead directly to my penis. At this point I decided to wait it out and see what happened… though I had a pretty strong compulsion to clamp down with my PC muscle, I decided to wait and see what would happen. After a short while I reached a plateau of the involuntary Helix motions and then started to relax, and the erection went away.

After a couple minutes of relaxing and breathing the tingling came back, and another erection, though not quite as hard as the first one. At this point I was feeling another buildup and I gave in to the impulse to do some contractions. I had some very pleasurable spasms, but it felt like there was more to come.

General intro

I was inspired by the “Invitation to Blog” post… I was thinking this evening that it might be helpful to keep some notes for my own benefit. If anyone else finds them useful, that would be a bonus.

Just a general intro… I am in my 40s. I got a Helix Syn in mid August 2016. At this point (late October 2016) I have gone from basically treating it as a butt plug (put it in, enjoy it, end of story) to making a concerted effort to learn what I can do with it that’s more specific to the prostate stimulation aspect.

My previous session was on Wednesday evening, so 4 days ago. I will say, just for comparison, that it was OK, but nothing special. I have found my fatigue and frame of mind at the end of a long day at work often results in a less interesting Aneros session than when I am better rested on the weekend, but I generally take what I can get in terms of my schedule.

My previous technique had been to lie down after insertion and just relax, usually reading something for about 10 minutes, to clear my mind and let everything “settle down” with the Helix, and then proceed to work on some contractions or whatever I was thinking about trying, and see what happened.

Today, however, after a bit more than 5 minutes, I started feeling a tingling, warm sensation around the Helix. I have felt this before, but generally not so early in the session. So I decided to resist the temptation to do any contractions or anything and just breathe and concentrate on feeling what was happening. I continued to have the tingling sensation as I worked on deep breathing. I sort of alternated between concentrating on the breathing and sensations; doing some erotic visualization; and thinking about situations at work or errands needing to be done. (No, the last was not voluntary or planned, dammit, but my mind wandered and sometimes I had to refocus.)
