  1. You may have tensed your core and pelvic floor too much, or used too much / aggressive penis contact to build your arousal.

Both types of orgasm require building arousal. Normally, when your arousal reaches the critical level with penis play + tense muscles, your familiar ejaculation response starts. For a dry orgasm, there are two big differences. One is to continue building arousal past the minimum level needed for ejaculation. This is kind of similar to edging–your arousal continues to build until your eventual ejaculation is body-shaking. Second is avoiding the familiar ejaculation pathway. The main way people do this is through reducing penis touching, and keeping the pelvic floor and core relaxed. Some people can fully relax and continue to build arousal to dry orgasm levels, and some people prefer doing gentle muscle contractions or pushes. You can experiment with both and find what works for you mentally and physically.

Instead of aiming for a super orgasm, try to focus on improving two skills when you have a session. 1) relaxing your muscles and mind, and 2) getting more aroused in your relaxed state. If you build those skills, you’ll get where you want to be.

  2. This happens to me each session I use my aneros (both Helix and Progasm Jr.) although each time I use it, I learn a new thing. Another thing too is that I’ve stopped trying and just try to relax more. The next thing I’ll try is to not masturbate between sessions and see if that helps, although that will be a challenge haha.
