Upgrade to larger toy- Progasm?

Hi everyone! Just a couple months ago I finally dipped my toes into the world of prostate pleasure, and after some research around this community I purchased the Aneros Helix Syn. I’ve only been able to use it around 15-20 times since the purchase, but it’s been a huge change to my personal pleasure (I use it every chance I get, lol).

However, I’m pretty hooked on this whole thing and wanted to even try something new. I hear a lot of good things about the Progasm here. My only concern is that I’m, well, pretty tight, and the largest toy I’ve used has been the Syn. I’m wondering if anyone else has gone from a smaller toy to the Progasm, and whether or not it will be difficult to adjust. And any advice for moving up to a larger toy would be appreciated!

  1. I had very little experience in the last few years and got the Helix Syn Trident as a starter, the Progasm came after the MGX Trident, it feels very “full” but not too unpleasant. But I guess I will try the Eupho now, too…. atleast from what I experienced it seems like the Progasm has it’s limitations regarding movement…. with the Progasm I get strong “waves” without any pleasure yet, I think the Eupho will be a good mix of less width than the Progasm but more length than the Helix? Somebody more experienced probably could tell more about that I bet.

  2. Awesome that you’re enjoying it so much after a relatively short time! The Progasm Ice is good, for a larger feel. It’s not quite as mobile as smaller toys, but presses harder on your prostate. It’s hard plastic, so has a different feel than the Syn models (that are coated in soft silicone). TheProgasm Icemodel has a more smooth finish than the regular Progasm, so moves easier over your prostate, so I’d recommend it.

If you’re concerned about discomfort inserting a larger toy, you could use your smaller one first to warm up. Then lube the Progasm well, and maybe your anus too. Take your time inserting it, and be sure the toy is pointed at the correct angle to line up properly with your rectum. Then as you slowly push the toy in, push out with your sphincter muscle like you’re taking a poop. Go slowly, and you shouldn’t have much discomfort, and it’ll pass pretty quickly, just let it be for a few minutes and breathe slowly but deeply. As you get used to it (and how to insert it), it shouldn’t hurt at all.

One more comment, if you have the money, I would recommend the Vice 2. It’s basically the same size as the Progasm, but is also made from the Syn material, and has a built-in vibe. If you’re never used a vibe toy (or even if you have), this one really hits the spot! You can use it without the vibe, and it’s similar to the Progasm (just without a slick surface). Or use the remote control to set different vibe strengths/patterns. The vibe will get you rolling for sure… I usually have to turn it off after a few minutes (then back on later), or my session would be over pretty quickly 😉 It is a few extra $, but I don’t think you’d regret it.

Final note, if you buy from the Aneros website, a coupon code (REWIRE) gives you 20% off if you’re signed in with a website account. That deal expires today (29-Feb) I think.

  3. Have you considered the NJOY Pure Wand? The small end isn’t that large, but what’s really great about it is that you can position it EXACTLY where you want it (everyone’s anatomy is a little bit different), and control the pressure and speed it goes over your prostate!

Just make sure not to buy it on Amazon, EBay, Wish, etc to make sure it is not a fake, and isn’t made by unsafe body materials. Some of the materials used have been banned for making baby toys, and if it isn’t safe for a baby’s mouth, then it certainly isn’t safe for your ass either!

  4. I bought the Progasm after having the Helix Syn and I absolutely love it. Goes in easy. It feels wonderful once inside. However you must have had a bowel movement 2 to 3 hours before hand and you must have ample lube. First off the toy being too big isn’t that much of a problem if your rectum is empty. If it has waste it will feel full and uncomfortable. Empty you don’t notice any discomfort but you do feel a more bolder sensation in the prostate. I say it feels like a thumb touching your prostate instead of your pinky. That’s the only way I can describe it. Secondly you need lube. Inserting the toy isn’t the problem. It’s taking it out that can be tricky if you are not lubed up well enough. Water based lube can and will dry out if the session goes longer than an hour. So removing the toy can be painful. Remember most of the lube doesn’t get inside you when you insert the toy. So prelubing is a must. Use a medicine dropper to squirt lube inside you. I would also add Shea butter in addition to the water based lube. One guy on here suggested using a suppository which has Shea butter in it. Do these things and the Progasm will be what you’ve been lacking all along!
