Anyone ever heard a doctor’s opinion on prostate toys like Aneros?

I know that prostate massage is a legitimate practice in western medicine, with many doctors performing it themselves, but I’m curious to know if anyone has ever gotten the opinion of a medical professional about prostate toys.

The reason I ask is because I know there are a great many pleasurable things out there that are not exactly healthy, and just because everyone’s doing it doesn’t mean it’s safe.

I’ve gotten a taste of prostate pleasure and would love to explore more—but have never owned a toy. Aneros would probably be my first choice.

But I’m nervous….I know that rectal tissue is pretty delicate and I’ve read stories about people injuring their rectum and prostate before from inserting objects in their ass.

And although anal sex is widely practiced—the long term effects of it are not really clear with some experts saying it could possibly lead to permanent issues such as weakened muscle control and stuff.

I’m kind of someone that worries a lot about my health anyway, so I’m always thinking of consequences to things.

Thanks!

  1. Don’t think you got anything to worry about dude. Not like you’re getting your hole punched. The people into fisting id be worried

  2. First no I have never spoken to my own doctor about it, because it does carry a bit of stigma. However, the Aneros was invented by a doctor originally as a treatment for enlarged prostate. They have a sister site that is exclusively for its medical uses: [http://www.highisland.com/](http://www.highisland.com/) Check out the recommendations by doctors and scientific studies on that site.

It’s also recommended by a lot of doctors and sex therapists, for example: [https://letstalksex.net/buy-best-aneros-reviews-buying-guide/](https://letstalksex.net/buy-best-aneros-reviews-buying-guide/)

Most Aneros models are (to be frank) a good bit smaller than other things that you pass regularly through your anus. When you refer to the dangers of anal sex, maybe you’re referring to much larger objects that are forced in and out during some types of anal sex, which is IMO a totally different topic.

My experience using Aneros for the past 14 years have been nothing but positive, not only in terms of pleasure and stress-relief, but also sexual health. I have much better muscle control down there, harder erections, and more intense ejaculations. Your mileage may vary, but I don’t think you have anything to worry about health-wise. The one exception is if you already have a severe prostate infection (you’d probably know it!), then using the Aneros may not be advisable to keep any infection from spreading, until it can be treated by antibiotics.

  3. I brought it up to my dr a few years ago. He was dead against it. Advised no. But I tried it anyway.
Yes be careful. Gentle. All that.
    So far so good.for me
