Newbie questions about use outside of arousal.

Context: I’m a mid 20’s hetero male with a very open mind. I do enjoy anal, but never reached more than leaking on occasions (and orgasms via penis stimulation) with dildos/vibrator. Got the Helix Syn two or three weeks ago on a whim after finding a video on the progasm ice in use (you know the one). I read up on most information available on the wiki, forum, and here before starting my journey. This helped a LOT. I love it! Decided to stop my almost daily penile masturbation. I think I’m at “Pleasurable tingling in pelvic regions outside of sessions” going by the listed Milestones.

Question(s):

I understand this is not a butt plug, but would it be counter productive to have it inside when not actively concentrating on being aroused? As stated before I have pleasure and “cravings” for it outside of sessions (while at computer, video games, and watching TV. ie relaxing moments)

Is it bad if I fall asleep with it in?

What would be some expected discomforts to look out for?

  1. Basically It’s a very pleasurable journey and I want to spend more time on the trail as long as it doesn’t lead me in the wrong direction.

  2. In principle nothing speaks against it, in practice two things speak against it:

    – As you noted, it’s not a plug, so it’s not designed to be sat on. Some people do, but I find it uncomfortable

    – If you leave the aneros in for a long time, you might loose lubrication, making the ultimate removal unpleasant. Might want to take it slow when removing.

    I have found the idea of sleeping with an aneros arousing before, but personally never managed to find sleep while inserted. YMMV.

  3. I used to have those cravings, too and always trying to achieve the pleasure, however small it is, all the time. but after more than a year of trial and error, I realised overcoming those cravings is as important. everything feels and taste better after a certain amount of abstinence, our body is not designed to constantly be stimulated with the same stimuli and still feel the exact same pleasure as the very first time we do it. sometimes the power to say no to stimulation actually give rise to this satisfying energetic pleasure that runs through my body for a moment, knowing the next session will be more pleasurable and intense. while u stop “chasing” those cravings and just surrender to it and let it flow when it comes, u will feel and learn more about the subtle pleasures, sensation that resides in you. your pleasure response will enhance and sometimes even the thought of touching yourself will release such powerful sexual energy that runs through your body and it feels like an orgasm itself.
