Reach for the Floor! (or, An Uncommon Path to Awakening the Prostate) Part II (Cross posted from r/prostateplay

Part II – The Equipment

I have learned what types of pleasure my ass likes, and what types it loves. I have figured out through trial and error which types of toys work for me. And trial and error is really the only way to discover your toy preferences. Here are some concise reviews of the notable items in my toy drawer to help you in choosing your toys.

**Aneros Helix Trident** – This is a common Aneros to start with. The length and diameter of the Helix is a good ‘average’ and should give you some idea of what toys you may prefer based on your prostate’s location. The springiness of the Trident model helps with locating the toy on my prostate once I got better muscle control. Like most Aneros, this toy can quickly become uncomfortable to sit on for me but I can walk in it for miles. As in a 6 mile hike on uneven trails. Solid toy, would recommend if you are willing to work at it. Easy to insert and easy to clean.

**Aneros Eupho** – Thinner, longer, and more specific than the Helix. As is often commented, this toy is all about the delicate and gentle touch. This is a twitchy precision instrument and required patience for me to learn how to move this toy without overpowering it. I have days when I simply am not relaxed enough to use this toy effectively. The Eupho basically requires you to have excellent muscle tone and control for best results. Typically this is used for a gentle warm up or a long gentle meditative session.

**Aneros Progasm** – YEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! If I am already aroused, this thing can light me up and do it quickly. This toy is bulky compared to the other Aneros toys, so it can take a little getting used to. It doesn’t move as much as the Eupho for example, but it does sit there pushing on your prostate whether you want it to or not! The hardness of this toy can make it intense once your body starts squeezing it. Be advised that because of the wider neck and the smoothness of the plastic, the Progasm can suddenly shoot out of you if you clench hard enough. I have used this toy laying down, and once it just shot out of my ass and across the room without warning while I was clenching… after the shock of watching it bounce off of the floor I just laughed and cleaned it up. I usually use this toy while sitting so I can bear down on it a little when it wants to pop out. I have found that wearing tight sports briefs and/or compression shorts keeps the Progasm in place when I am going hands free. Grinding off some of the fin on the bottom of the Progasm made it much easier to sit with it in but I still don’t like sitting with in it for any length of time.

**Njoy Pure plug Large** – One of my favorite toys. I can wear this for 12 hours or overnight as long as I don’t have to sit on hard surfaces. FYI hard surfaces and metal plugs can make noise when you sit down, CLANK! Luckily no one could tell where the sound came from… The weight on my pelvic floor feels incredible when my muscle tone is good, though the weight can become mildly uncomfortable if those muscles are already tired or overworked. Sitting on firm or hard surfaces can push the loop handle into my perineum uncomfortably. I have worn this plug for a long car ride, engine and chassis vibrations can feel good! This plug works well as passive stim, just tickling my prostate until I clench on it. Then it becomes noticeably more direct. Pulling gently on the loop handle while going at it also feels really good for me. Super easy toy to clean and sterilize. As a long term investment I think Njoy toys are worth the money, just store them safely and don’t drop them on your foot or the tile floor. With how much I like the Pure Plug Large, I keep eye-banging the Pure plug 2.0 XL…

**Njoy Pure Wand** – This toy has been reviewed ad naseum so I’ll be brief. Yes, it is heavy and will tire your hand out. Yes, it is a little pricey (Fleshlight. com currently has it in stock for $99). Yes it can be really tricky to find *that* spot with it. But when it works it seems to work like John Henry and just won’t stop. If you want to use this toy, be ready to commit some time into learning how it works for you, and to building some forearm strength. It took me at least 10 sessions before it started to do something. Be cautious and gentle instead of ramming this toy into your ass. Even minor rectal and prostate bruising with a steel rod can be really really uncomfortable, and is largely why I no longer consume alcohol before my sessions (desensitization of your ass due to a depressant is not really a good thing even when unintended, be just as aroused but smarter than I was). Again, don’t drop or drag steel toys around your porcelain or steel sink as those can cause small but visible surface marks on both items. I recommend having a washcloth on your counter to place Njoy toys on during or after cleaning, quieter and easier on the toy.

**Blush NeoElite 7.5” dildo** – My first and least favorite dildo, will probably end up as a bright pink door knocker stuck to someone’s front door as a joke. Humor aside, this toy is a great value for the price. The dual density is satisfying to hold and squeeze and has a good springiness without being floppy. This density of toy feels pretty realistic in my hand given the price. Suction cup is good. What doesn’t work for me is that the surface is heavily textured. This can look appealing but actually caused so much drag that thrusting quickly irritated me even with copious amounts of lube, and even with different lubes. For some reason, with this toy more so than others, the length is just too much. I have found that I typically only like penetration up to about 5 inches. After that, it can get uncomfortable for me without high arousal. I pause here to give a nod to all the ladies that have had their cervix popped by a thrusting penis, I now better understand how that can bring a screeching halt to things. Good toy, but may not be for everyone.

**Oxballs Superfoft Ergo Plug Small** – My second favorite plug. Ludicrously comfortable to wear for me up to about 6-8 hours. By then, despite adding more lube my canal is just done stretching for a few hours. Even with the soft density, it still gives moderate but noticeable pressure on my prostate and feels sublime when I gently clench on it. Despite not being sold for prostate stim, I seem to fit to this toy well and I can regularly get a light pulsing on my prostate with this plug. The softness can make it a touch more awkward to initially get in but it gently pops into place for me once inserted. This plug makes me feel full without being uncomfortable. The base is bulky but I can sit or walk around for a while comfortably before it starts to feel awkward having a hunk of silicone between my legs. My only issue with this plug is that it fits so well in my sphincters that I simply cannot pass gas at all with it unless l grab it and pull it around a small bit. This can make long term wear more challenging or suddenly uncomfortable, especially when not at home. Remember kids, always carry a ziploc bag for emergency storage when plugging away from home! I like this toy a lot, and plan to buy the medium Ergo plug at some point.

**B-vibe Snug Plug Size 4** – Fantastic toy that just doesn’t fit me quite right. The outer silicone is satin smooth and glides in wonderfully with moderate amount of lube. I really enjoy the width of this toy (1.7” dia), especially when I take a long time to stretch myself out and slide it in very slowly. These plugs have very little give as the outer silicone layer is not very thick. The internal weights are sometimes noticeable when you move around, but this is NOT a vibrator and will not stimulate like one. The base looks small and flimsy but it is pretty sturdy. I enjoy slowly sliding the plug back and forth in my canal, and especially using the tapered ends to alternately stretch and relax the sphincters from both directions. Once inserted the weight feels satisfying sitting on top my sphincters more so than most of my toys. It sits easily on top of my inner sphincter which is a different but also pleasurable sensation from stretching my canal. I do have a minor fit issue with this plug. Despite the width being nearly perfect for me the toy is just a little too long. When the base is flush to my outer sphincter, the top of the toys pushes uncomfortably into the top of my rectum by about ½” too much. If I am walking around or sitting such that it doesn’t push on the base, then its a good fit. This makes this an occasional toy. (FYI, I am only 5’6”, comfortable insertion depth will vary person to person).

**Tantus Acute dildo** – The angled shape pretty reliably rubs against my prostate when I thrust with it, and the firm density and glossy finish lets it slide in and out nicely. The diameter is small enough that I can play with the angle of my thrusts as well as the depth. The smoothness does cause the lube to get wiped of the dildo pretty quick, but re-lubing is no big deal to me. I often use this as a warm up toy before using bigger toys. Lack of a suction cup is the only drawback for me.

**Tantus Echo vibrator dildo** – These look like an interesting and aggressively styled toy, and the looks made me want to try it. I got a Grab Bag Echo vibrator, mine came in translucent white Super Soft. The surface is matte, soft, and smooth. I like the surface feeling of this material to hold and as I thrust. The head is a nice solid lump of silicone that I can clench on, and the ridges are very noticeable when thrusting works. The issue I have with this toy is that the low density of the Super Soft silicone causes the middle of the toy to feel…well… flaccid. With a vibe placed inside its not *too* floppy, but without the vibe in it is difficult to thrust or ride without the dildo bending and buckling uselessly. I think a Super Soft dildo with a solid core might be okay for what I want, but the firm glossy material of the regular Echo is more appealing to me right now.

**Oxballs Honcho Size 1** – This thing just looks great to me in a silly way. Thick and stubby in rainbow swirl. The material feels like their Ergo plug, soft and squishy but not at all floppy. The Honcho has a slightly longer neck and sits a little higher than the Ergo plug so it provides less prostate stim while still making me feel full. The Size 1 is listed as up to 1.9” wide but it doesn’t feel that wide to me? I can easily fit 1.75” diameter toys, but this feels about at least as easy to insert as those. With the softness of the material, The wider parts like the corona are bigger but still squish down enough that I don’t notice the difference from the rest of the toy. This is great and I am happy with the toy, but I actually wanted a wider fit. I may purchase the Size 2 in the future. Inserted, it feels somewhat similar to the Ergo plug but a little taller and deeper if you will.

**Avant D5 Sin City dildo** – Once I figured out that I am not fond of heavily textured dildos, I of course started looking for smooth dildos. The Avant line looked like what I wanted, a non-realistic firm smooth dildo with a suction cup. I like the D5, especially when I want to feel like a slut and get properly fucked by something a little larger. The width of 1.75” gets me full without feeling too stretched to go at it. The length gives me a lot to work with, and there is a nice indentation at the base for my hand to grasp. The smooth finish feels divine to me, and this dildo glides easily without needing to sit in a bucket of lube. Thrusting or riding strong and steady with this dildo has brought me the closest to an anal only orgasm. The D5 is single density silicone, with the thickness it feels firm yet moderately bendable. There is a dual density model called the Rollo, but I have not tried that version. I have ordered the Avant D10 Ergo Mini dual density, hoping that it will be a similar experience to the D5 but at an “every day” size. The Avant D5 does gather lint and pet hair from meters away if left out like many silicone toys, but for me the smoothness more than makes up for a little extra cleaning. The suction cup on this toy can be just a little fussy to get attached solidly, making sure the suction cup is completely clean helps a lot. Once in position, the holding power is more than enough for me.

I have also ordered the Godemich Ambit Medium with suction cup in the Morpheus color, I am excited to see and test ride that toy when it arrives.

That is where i am at, and that is my toolbox of equipment. Thanks for reading, and please remember to tip your waitress.
