Some advice for someone new to prostate player (me)

I am a newcomer to prostate stimulation and have been exploring this area through the use of a dildo and a prostate massager ([Link](https://www.lovehoney.com/sex-toys/male-sex-toys/prostate-massagers/p/lovehoney-high-roller-remote-control-rotating-prostate-massager/a42638g76716.html)). However, I do have a few questions and would welcome any recommendations.

Firstly, despite my best efforts, I am unable to locate my prostate using my fingers alone, although I can locate it when using the massager and dildo. Is this a common experience? Secondly, I have noticed that the sensations I experience during sessions tend to start off quite intense but gradually fade away. I am unsure if this is due to a lack of technique or simply a matter of not having trained my mind enough. I also observe that the intensity of the experience varies from one day to the next, without any clear explanation. While I am aware that achieving a super O or a wet orgasm from prostate stimulation is a challenging process, I would welcome any recommendations for further experimentation.

Furthermore, I plan on purchasing an Aneros tonight, but I am undecided on which model to choose. I used the Aneros tool, which recommended the Helix Syn V. Can you provide any feedback on its efficacy?

Thank you in advance for any insights or suggestions you may have.”

  2. I’m probably an intermediate with p play and I’d say it’s not uncommon for a massager to feel good but for it to be hard to find your prostate manually, that’s exactly my experience.

Syn V could be a good shout but because it has all the bells and whistles it might be a bit confusing for a beginner – when to turn the vibrations on, if at all? What level/pattern is best for me. Most start with a basic model that doesn’t vibrate, but as a one off purchase I’d say Helix v would be a good shout despite the learning curve.

  3. That it can take a lot of time to get good results. I didn’t start having prostate orgasms until about 10 years into it, although my ‘practice’ was pretty sporadic. The key to success turned out to be learning to relax deeply, almost a form of self-trance. Without it, you’ll miss out on the subtle pleasure that slowly builds into an orgasm.

Deep relaxation is not something normally associated with masturbation, so I think it’s counterintuitive for many people. You have to go deep enough that your mental focus is exclusively on your prostate, at least at first. Being in trance helps you to stay relaxed and focused without effort.

Some people describe prostate pleasure (figuratively) as trying to scratch an itch. I see it like trying to tickle yourself until you can’t breathe and lose bladder control. Try tickling yourself; it’s pretty hard to do effectively. That’s probably why the “do nothing” technique is so popular among Aneros users. You’re supposed to just be an observer, while your body figures out what feels good without conscious intervention.

  4. I’ve been doing prostate stuff a long time and still can’t find the thing with my fingers! I’d guess it’s pretty normal, given anatomy and weird angles/pressure.

As for the sensation intensity that might just be your body connecting the dots or toning itself, your prostate can very much get “tired” and sort of desensitize itself with enough time in a session. Eventually that should go away or a lot more time is going by before that happens.

As for the experimentation comment, abstinence and feeling really worked up tend to help. But it varies person to person. Using myself as an example I can’t really focus on pleasurable things that well with visual stimulus, it has to be audial.

Just as much certain positions like on my side or on my stomach never work out. It is a day to day thing and I tend to have more “off” days than “on” but some have the opposite of never having “off” days, I’d say just go with what your body is telling you that specific day. Like ask yourself if you *really* feel up to this or notice if you feel excited or just, for like of a better word, want it. If it’s just sort of “meh” those can also take you by surprise and be very nice, but most of the time I would say it’ll follow that “meh”.

Can’t personally talk about the Syn V, but my favorite model is the MGX Syn and I started with a Helix.

  5. Stay away from vibrators.. go manual massagers… vibrators are intense at first, then nothing
