Aneros Trident Eupho or Aneros Eupho Syn?

I started with the Helix Trident (white plastic) and been practicing with that for some months. I then bought the black Prograsm Jr to see how that would feel different but I haven’t really enjoyed it so almost exclusively been using the Helix.

Now I have considered getting the Eupho (or maybe the MGX) because I understand it moves around easier(?). However, since the two Aneros I got are both hard plastic, I was considering trying a Syn model to see how that feels but it seems most prefer hard plastic.

So far I’ve only experienced HFWO (with both of them) but what I’m really aiming for is a dry HWO. I also have the Njoy Pure Wand if that makes any difference but it’s rare I use it. Which model would make sense for me to get you think, Trident or Syn (or MGX)?

  1. I do not own any of the syn variants but I’ve seen ppl mention that the syn models have more friction and less mobility, and in my opinion one of the most important factors for good results is good lubrication and mobility. I would avoid the syn variants for this reason. I would also recommend a light sanding of the plastic models with fine grit sandpaper, as smooth as you can get them.

Also having owned the trident models and the previous generation I believe the tridents are an improvement. Increased flexibility of the P tab and the addition of the K tab really helps them mechanically.

I own trident versions of the Maximus, Helix and Eupho. All of them are wonderful in their own ways: Maximus for that full feeling which sacrifices mobility, Eupho for maximum mobility and Helix for a middle of the road experience.

    Hope that helps!

  2. Been at it for a year and a half with good results. My favorite while rewiring was and still is the Eupho. I warm up with it regularly. I believe the Helix is for more of an advanced user. This was confirmed for me as in the beginning it didn’t do much for me. But now it works wonderfully. I would start with the Eupho. Imho.
