A few questions for experienced beginner

I have been using my aneros off and on for the past 6 months or so, with more frequent use (and progress) in the past week or two. I have achieved what I believe to be full body waves a couple times but they seem to only last 5-10 seconds before disappearing. I have a few questions that hopefully can help me progress with my journey.
1: how often should I have a session? I have been doing every night with a day off here and there. I am always excited to have a session to see how close I can get to a super o but I wonder if too frequent of sessions can impede progress.
2: lube… I have tried astro glide and coconut oil. Coconut oil seems to work better but I still find myself having to reapply every 10 minutes or so which totally ruins my session. Any advice on this would be much appreciated!!!
3: is it important to not have a traditional orgasm in order to preserve sexual energy/horny feelings?
4: when doing contractions, how hard should I really be squeezing? I find myself trying to squeeze too hard and then I get sore and/or tired too fast.
5: any advice for what to do when I start feeling p waves? I have had good luck getting them to arrive but it’s almost like I psych myself out and try too hard to get them to stay which makes them go away.

I am really enjoying this journey and would appreciate any suggestions or tips people may have! Thank you!

  1. Id love feedback on this as well cause I’m literally at the exact same stage.

  2. > 1: how often should I have a session?

Some people swear by waiting “X” number of days but IMO “when you’re horny” (and not sore or anything) is fine. The trick is to avoid just doing it when you’re bored or something. Just wait for the mood to strike. Some of my better sessions have been the day after a previous one. You can also watch for trends… if you’re going pretty frequently and you find that things aren’t as sensitive as they once were then hold off for a bit and let the horniness build up before trying again.

    > 2: lube…

I primarily use water based lubes (eg KY, Nooky) and find they last long enough… maybe a solid 30mins or longer. If you want, you can try another brand or try “injecting” some using a bulb enema before sessions. 10mins sounds pretty fast so maybe try extra to start or changing to a different brand. A lot of people swear by coconut oil but I have yet to try it.

3: is it important to not have a traditional orgasm in order to preserve sexual energy/horny feelings?

Well a traditional orgasm has a refractory period so that would end a session pretty quick. If you’re going for a HFWO then “saving yourself” is probably wise but otherwise I wouldn’t let it hold you back too much. Just don’t do it right before a session. I don’t think it effects my sessions all that much as long as things are spaced out a bit. If you’re still awakening your prostate (aka rewiring) then it may be a good idea to hold off a bit to make that process faster or if you’re plateauing but I’ve never stayed strictly on one side of the fence or another and still made progress. I’m guessing this might be an individual thing.

    > 4: when doing contractions, how hard should I really be squeezing? I find myself trying to squeeze too hard and then I get sore and/or tired too fast.

Practice makes perfect. Find what works for you. No one told you how hard to squeeze when you jerk off did they? You just figure it out with time. If you’re just starting out, I’d probably recommend doing as little as possible. You might also consider the mindgasm.net stuff for more practice.

5: any advice for what to do when I start feeling p waves? I have had good luck getting them to arrive but it’s almost like I psych myself out and try too hard to get them to stay which makes them go away.

Either relax into it (ie: just let go) or try to maintain exactly what you were doing to get there without changing anything. I think the hard part is to not get into your head about it. You want to ride things out, not try to steer them or add intensity like you might with traditional masturbation. Instead of thinking about pushing it into more pleasure, think about how good it feels and enjoy it. It takes time & practice, but if you can accomplish that, more good will come.
