Struggling

Hello. I have been lurking various threads on this topic and such and following the tips people have been leaving behind. However my experience with prostate play has been fairly underwhelming so far.

I have been using a helix syn trident and I don’t know if the problem with this toy is that it’s too small to reach my prostate or if I’m using it wrong?

For example. I don’t actually know if the front tab is resting on my exterior prostate or whatever you would call that area. That tab most of the time just kind of hurts and feels uncomfortable and after some shifting or positioning it stops hurting but then just doesn’t feel like anything at all. I don’t think the tab is “massaging” my prostate exteriorly.

And the actual phallic piece of the toy. I get that I’m supposed to adjust at first which I give time for it to move past that “feels like there’s something in your ass” phase. But after that I just don’t really feel it at all. I flex my PC muscle as I’ve heard you’re supposed to do. And I do level exercises while at work between my sessions to get used to that muscle. However no matter how much I flex. If I flex like 25% or as hard as I can possibly flex. I just feel the toy shift and it feels sort of like it’s settling maybe or it’s shifting closer inwards inside me towards my prostate. But I don’t think it ever reaches or massages my prostate? Like maybe it’s just a bit too small?

Between sessions (which is to say between orgasms) I let a couple days pass. During play I insert the toy. Then masturbate traditionally because I heard from another member that if you masturbate with your dick for a while and get it aroused that also aroused your prostate which makes it bigger. Then after getting a hard and masturbating like “half way” through. I stop and lay on my side doing the one leg straight one leg to my chest technique. Or I lay on my stomach with a pillow under my hip. Then I mentally just think about fairly explicit stuff. Getting fucked, whatever. While my pc muscles do their thing. I usually leak profusely during the session but anally I feel almost nothing which is strange. Sometimes even with no feeling in my ass I will just suddenly become extremely erect after my cock initially calms down from my traditional masturbation and I’ll be like “what is happening why is my body suddenly reacting to this?” I don’t know if it’s because I’m just aroused by my fantasies or if it’s the toy doing something.

I don’t know guys. I just feel like I’m missing something here. I don’t wanna give up because people’s testimonies sound amazing and I would like to experience it myself.

Do I need a bigger toy or is it just my mental? Thanks.

The Aneros products were initially developed for medical use. Generally speaking, everyone’s prostate is more or less in the same area with some minor deviations, so the toy should be able to reach your prostate.

    >For example. I don’t actually know if the front tab is resting on my exterior prostate or whatever you would call that area. That tab most of the time just kind of hurts and feels uncomfortable and after some shifting or positioning it stops hurting but then just doesn’t feel like anything at all. It’s extremely difficult to massage your prostate externally. The “P-Tab” rests on what should be your “sweet spot” and it should not hurt with the Syn Trident series. Your “sweet spot” is basically a bundle of nerves for your anus, prostate, and penis. It’s not supposed to be a pleasurable area by itself; however, when combined with breathing and involuntary contractions, it can help generate better orgasms.

If you’re jerking with every session, or after every session, I would recommend stopping for a while. Jerking basically destroys the tiny new pleasure pathways that are trying to develop. Going a few days between sessions is fine, but really you can have a session whenever you feel the itch. Just don’t touch your penis. Trust me I know it’s difficult at first. I’ve relapsed a few times trying to edge while exploring.

Basically, it sounds to me like you’re trying to chase the feeling of what a prostate orgasm should be. It’s counterintuitive because it’s not something you can force or induce like you can with traditional penis masturbation. Prostate sensations are very subtle and it definitely takes time to associate these new sensations with pleasure. Don’t go into a session with expectations of rocking your world. Approach them openly and nurture any new feelings of pleasure that come up. It’s normal to go hard to soft and back throughout sessions without feeling much. Don’t be discouraged. Learning something like this takes a lot of time, practice, and patience. You’re basically learning to use muscles that you normally do not use intentionally.

There are some great resources on the [Aneros wiki](http://wiki.malegspot.com) about anatomy and how the Aneros works if you haven’t looked at them yet. I’d also recommend checking out [Mindgasm](http://www.mindgasm.net). It’s an audible guide for helping you through prostate sessions with an Aneros.

  2. I think you’re on the right track with this. The P tab isn’t supposed to really externally massage the prostate, it’s more of a fulcrum point. Like I think of the Aneros as pivoting from that P tab up to your prostate when you flex, with the Aneros dropping a bit when you release.

    > If I flex like 25% or as hard as I can possibly flex. I just feel the toy shift and it feels sort of like it’s settling maybe or it’s shifting closer inwards inside me towards my prostate

This is the feeling I look for and try and focus on. It doesn’t feel like much at first, but after a while the sensations grow.

I think of prostate play sort of starting out like a tickle. Let me give you an example: if I forcefully jab a finger in my armpit and wiggle it up and down as hard and fast as I can, that doesn’t tickle for me. I feel it. I know I’m touching my armpit. But the motions and feelings don’t make me squirm like a tickle. BUT, if I lightly put my finger on my armpit, and slowly drag it around, lightly touching the skin/hair, that feels like a tickle and will make me jerk or squirm.

It’s the same type of thing with my prostate. I can stick something up there and jackhammer away, but it’s not going to do anything. It’s really about slight, subtle motions and feelings. Focusing on those motions and feelings. Letting them build into whatever. Harder/faster/more isn’t always the answer.

My other advice would be to masturbate and get hard *before* you put the Aneros in. Once it’s in, it’s best (for me) to not do anything with my dick unless I’m looking to jack off and cum and finish the session. To avoid any temptation sometimes I’ll wear underwear or shorts to resist.

  3. It’s generally a good idea to exclude penile play from Aneros sessions because as others mentioned, you’re trying to learn new sensations that are very subtle (at first).
Perhaps try (if you have’t already) doing mindgasm lessons one tbru three. These lessons are free. And teach muscle control and seleration.
I too started with a Helix Syn and didnt get much progress for quite some time… so patience.
If the P Tab is uncomfortable a small bit of folded over tissue paper between the tab and your body may help with that.

A lot of this is mindset and learning a totally new way to take pleasure isnt a quick thing. For most. Some are very lucky and it just works off the bat for them… but thats the exception. Enjoy the journey… its got some great moments.

  4. Like other people have said, I also recommend folding a bit of tissue paper into a square pad and putting it between the tab and your perineum. It works great for me.

  5. For some men it only takes a few sessions to reach prostate orgasm. For others it will take months or even years of regular practice.
A wrong approach is to want to have an orgasm. Expectations, always expectations… It’s hard not to have them.
You have to take each session for what it is: a learning experience. But it is a learning process that also brings satisfaction and more and more pleasure.
As far as voluntary contractions are concerned, I have noticed that the lighter and more subtle they are, the more effective they are.
As for the size of the massager, I recommend trying a smaller one (Eupho) and a larger one (Progasm Jr or Progasm). It’s always nice to be able to change.
Good luck, I’m sure progress is not far off.

  6. Missing key ingredient… Nipple Play… rub and flick your nipples while doing the pc movements… if you enjoy this play prior to getting into the game, this will help draw out the sensitivity and help stim the prostate… very important step that wasn’t mentioned to you…
