Is it possible my prostate is too far away to feel anything?

Hey. I’m 6′ tall and I have the Helix Classic. All white plastic one. I’ve had this thing for years, but I often go months without using it. I mostly use it when I need help going to the bathroom. Anyway, I bought it for sexual purposes and I just can’t get it going. I know the advice always says to relax, but when I sit with my knees bent, I can’t feel anything. I can manually “suck” it in and make it feel contact with my prostate, but then I’m just 100% flexing and that gets tiring very fast.

That being said, when I have tried things with manual effort I did think ONCE I got very close to orgasm but then I lost it because it was an active mental process. I think I woke myself out of the trance thinking about cumming. Anyway, I know I CAN feel SOMETHING, I just can’t feel much when it’s in. I do feel more when its in and I’m standing though, but then I’m standing.

It’s supposed to rub against me on it’s own isnt’ it? My butt doesn’t “automatically move it around and pull it in” as I’ve seen comments say. I have also had versions of somewhat sitting on it so it presses against me, but that just feels like extra pressure as well. I would like an anal orgasm first and foremost, whether it be from a prostate massager or other anal toy. The issue is my hole is very small. So I’m sure there are longer ones that are ALSO wider, but are there any toys that are small but longer? I’m open to buying another. I just have not managed to get it to work.

  1. If you read lots of Beginners posts you will see them question if the device is too short, not big enough, etc. they ask if a different tool will work better. It’s not the device unfortunately. Yes there are slight differences, but no magic bullet. Take your time. My only advice is relax. (I personally find a little pot helps me relax just perfectly, but that’s just me…and plenty others).

  2. I too have a Helix as well and took awhile to figure things out ,it takes time and almost meditative head space for me as well as not cumming for a few days , the hornier the better , but not rushed . a little weed has also helped . But once you get there it’s almost an addictive .

  3. I’m also 6′ tall and also have the Helix, same as you, and I’ve definitely had intensely pleasurable sensations (no orgasms yet but I’m still on my journey). So I definitely don’t think your prostate is too far away.

Like other people in the forum have said, try getting aroused even before you insert the toy. Those are the sessions that work best for me. Good luck.

  4. I’m 6’3” and have used all variations of the Helix and the classic MGX with success. While I haven’t had a super O, I’ve had HFWO on multiple occasions. I don’t think your prostate is too deep, I just think you need to find the right combination of position, correct positions of the toy and proper mental state.

  5. I’m also tall and I can guarantee you that your question is totally legit and there’s definitely a possibility that your prostate is too far in for the you to reach with the Aneroses.

From personal experience and after carefully examining which toys give me sensation and which ones don’t – none of the aneroses do, and all the toys that do are longer and more curved.

The fact that one or two people who are also tall and don’t need the extra length doesn’t really prove anything since there are subtle differences in our bodies, and in the case of the aneros or any toy, we’re talking almost at the millimeter level.

What I found was that the most aggressively shaped aneros (I think that’s the Helix) would JUST about graze the bottom of my prostate, but only if I was really horny. The largest one (Progasm) would miss it completely even though it’s much larger, because it’s just not curved enough.

Your best bet to find your ideal length and what creates sensation is to buy a toy that doesn’t have these limitations. Which for me is the Backnobber (30 bucks on Amazon) – an incredible tool because you can experiment with all kinds of length, position, pressure, curvature, etc.
