How should I work to isolate pc and sphincter muscles?

I have been working with mindgasms lesson 1 and 2 for a bit and I have finally managed to recognize my pc and sphincter muscles. Admittedly it’s not a very big accomplishment but it feels pretty big to me. As mindgasm states in lesson 1, I cannot flex them independently yet. How should I go about separating these two muscles? Should I specifically focus on flexing them individually during a session or work on them outside a session while going to the bathroom or something else entirely? Just wondering if anyone had some wisdom to share because mindgasm told me I’d get there but not how to get there lol.

Contraction questions and issues

About a month ago I started incorporating contractions as opposed to just sitting there and being still, however I don’t really know what I’m doing.

I don’t know the difference between my sphincter muscles, an anal contraction, or a rectal contraction. The ‘getting started’ page doesn’t illustrate what they are or how to physically recognize them, (neither did google) so as far as I know I have only been doing one of those and I don’t even know which one. Last night I payed extra attention to what I was feeling. I thought I had managed to contract two different muscle groups but I later realized I was doing the same group but at different strengths and starting the contraction in different places.

The contraction I know is flex the muscles you would use to stop peeing mid-stream. If someone could explain how to recognize/contract the right muscle groups or point me towards another information page, I would be very grateful.

How do I stop falling asleep during my sessions

I never thought I’d be relaxing too much. I tend to hold my sessions around 9 or 10 at night, not too late but when combined with closing my eyes, not moving at all, listening to rain noise, and focusing on controlling my breathing, I eventually fall asleep. I always set an hour long timer so that I have a general idea on how long I’ve been going but for the past 6 or 7 sessions I’ve found that alarm wakes me up.

I feel like I’m cheating myself and hindering my progress by falling asleep. In my last session where I didn’t fall asleep, I felt something great and I’ve been trying to replicate or re-experience it. For whatever reason since then I have felt almost nothing, which is a little disheartening. When I do feel something it’s for a split second and it’s barely long enough to recognize that there was something, it comes just as fast as it goes. Maybe it’s because I keep falling asleep, maybe it’s because I’m going into a session with a goal in mind. Either way I want to stop falling asleep and actually experience the moment. Anyone have any ideas on what I could do to occupy myself enough so that I don’t fall asleep but not so much that I lose focus?

First good sensation last night, was it the “awakening”?

I’m happy to say I felt something noteworthy for the first time in my session last night, but I have zero idea what it was.

I started sensing it about halfway through my session but up until that point I had felt nothing, which is normal for me. I noticed a very slight tingling feeling around the tip of the (helix syn) trident and I had just enough time to think “what…is that?” before the area exploded. It didn’t feel like an orgasm or but rather just fuzzy. It reached halfway up my back and all the way down to my feet. It lasted about 15 seconds and at its peak It was so overwhelming that I couldn’t tell where I was or what position I was in. After it had passed and for the rest of the session, I could feel my pulse on and off in the area. I really don’t know what that was but I can only think that that was my prostate awakening? Anyone else experienced something similar or know what I’m talking about?

I have some questions about contractions

I don’t know if this information is important or not but I have a helix syn trident and I use it for about 30-45 minutes per session and I have used it around 10 times. I am brand new to this, I started about two weeks ago.

First question, am I flexing the right muscles. I read that you’re supposed to use the same muscles that you would use to stop peeing but when I try it I feel like the only parts that are moving are my penis which is flicking up and my anus which is trying to close or go into my body. It doesn’t feel like the trident is moving much if at all. Maybe that’s because I’m not accustomed to the feeling of it being on my prostate or not but it seems wrong to me.

Second question, what is an anal contraction, rectal contraction, and abdominal contraction and what’s the difference between them? The getting started page references them but doesn’t explain what one or the other actually is. Should I focus on one over the other to start or build on all three for some variety?

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
