Subsequent Sessions

This is Part 2 of my catch-up posts. I bought the Helix and Eupho package in early July of 2006 so I’ll discuss what I experienced after the first few months of use. Please see my earlier post about my initial sessions.

Bought the MGX
I bought the MGX in December of 2006. I was curious whether the ribs on it would provide additional stimulation to my anus. The Helix and Eupho don’t have those ribs so they only provide minimal stimulation. I had read some posts where some users liked the ribs initially but found them to be annoying later. However, I had to see for myself since each person’s likes and dislikes are different.

When I first inserted it, I really felt it dig into my perineum and it started hurting just like when I first began with the Helix. I was surprised by this since the days of me having perineum pain with the Helix and Eupho were long gone. That being the case, I was glad that I didn’t purchase the MGX first. I can only imagine the pain that a newbie would feel having never used an Aneros before. After a while, this too subsided so it didn’t bother me anymore. Another thing I didn’t like about the MGX is that the larger tab caused it to grab the hairs on my perineum. I didn’t have that problem with the Helix and Eupho with their smaller tabs.

Initial Sessions

Hi All,

I've been an Aneros user for several months now. I bought the Helix and Eupho package back in early July 2006. Since I've been using them for several months now, I thought I'd record what I've been experiencing – before I forget it all! Hopefully, it will be good for me as a review and also help others. This is a bit long, but I have a lot to say.

I'll give some background to start off with as well as my early experiences. New experiences seem to be coming at a slower pace now, so I imagine that my posts will not be very frequent once I get these initial catch-up posts out of the way. But, I will try to keep it up to date. Admittedly, if nothing new happens to me then there won't be much reason to post!

Background
I'm single, straight, and in my early 40's. I've experimented with anal play and prostate massage on rare occasions in the past, mostly with small slender objects around the house or my fingers, but it never really did enough for me that I wanted to keep doing it. After checking around on some internet sites about masturbation (seeing if I could teach this somewhat old dog some new tricks!), I found where some of them described how great prostate massage could be for masturbation. So, that led me here, and boy I'm glad it did!

Early Experiences

OH MY GOD!!!

It arrived!
I picked it up from the post room and nearly ran back to my room to open it. I carefully opened the box and removed the aneros. I just looked at it and thought it's a thing of beauty. I had to try it!
I prepped myself, locked my door and began.

I love the way it slid in so easily, especially the last part! I felt a little uncomfortable at first so took my time to get used to it. After about 5 or 10 minutes it felt really quite natural so I tried some contractions. At first, I was using my PC muscles and it kept poking my perineum, which wasn't a particularly nice feeling, but after a while I learned to isolate the right muscles to use and got some really quite pleasurable sensations and I started to leak a bit of precum from my flaccid penis. I kept at it, trying to hold it at just less than half way every now and then, I could feel something building inside.

I'm relatively new to this with about a dozen or so attempts under my belt so far. No super O's, no mini O's, no involuntaries yet. But I'm having fun, so don't mind the pursuit. Last night, I started off on my back with knees bent. Actually, I went to several positions over the course of about a half an hour. Then, I went on my right side with left leg bent at 90 degrees. I remembered reading about the "letting go" and somehow (while I was doing some light contractions) managed to go "somewhere inside myself" to the point I was able to focus on the feeling of the Helix on my prostate in a way I hadn't been able to before. I also had a pretty good pornographic image locked into my mind. Suddenly, I felt the building of sexual tension — so I kind of went with it. Ultimately, it felt like I would shoot a load, which of course, I knew I shouldn't do. So I held on to my contraction (the one that keeps you from ejaculating) and squeezed harder, and harder to keep from coming. The feeling was electric. I was literally gripping the edge of the mattress with all my might and smacking my head against the pillow as I continued to hold that contraction and refused to cum. Every muscle of my body was engaged. This went on for about 45 to 60 seconds. I guess you could kind of liken it to riding a big wave. I ultimately let go of the contraction and let go of everything so I could relax.

I have tried the Helix six or seven times so far. With each practice session, I discover a few new sensations. Still, I'm not anywhere near achieving the involuntaries or the Super "O." I have, on a couple of occasions, experienced a very intense ejaculation without any penile stimulation. But alas, I know that this is not the object of my desire.

I have a few questions for any successful guys who might have the time to answer.

1. I seem to be most relaxed on my back with my knees bent or on my stomach lying flat. I can achieve movement of the Helix keeping my hips perfectly still, but there are times when I want to move my hips, which seems to contribute to the Helix's movement within me. Should I rely solely on the Helix's movement through contractions, or is this hip movement ok?

2. It appears there are four different kinds of contractions. The easiest for me to perform is the Kegel. However, I've seen recommendations to do a rectal contraction simulatenously or an anal contraction simultaneously with a rectal contraction. I can't seem to even figure out how to combine a Kegel with a rectal contraction or an anal contraction with a rectal contraction. Doing one (to me) seems to make it impossible to do the other simultaneously. Any suggestions? Also, any suggestions on the length of contractions and how contractions might interact with breathing would be appreciated.

My first Super 'O'

Well if that wasn't it, then I don't really care what is. After about 6 months of trying I think I've managed it, because that was JUST brilliant.

I gave myself all day, had a shower, watched some porn: the usuals. The first couple of hours were pleasurable enough, but I wasn't breaking any new ground so I had a break.

I then re-lubed and set off again. Soon I felt it really moving inside me, and I forced myself to do something quite difficult – let go. I've often seen people on this forum mention this, and I think it's a little misleading, because to get to the point where you need to 'let go' requires some subtle control, as I've written about before. But once you feel you're in the zone, the 'subtle control' goes out the window. I forced myself to just go limp. It went bezerk. I could feel it thrusting of its own volition inside me, and this time, maybe because of the previous work I'd done, I found it hitting the spot every time – you know – THAT spot. I started breathing quickly, and groaning, and it would come in sort of spasms, rising and falling, grinding against my prostate. Every stroke was bliss. This went on for a couple of minutes. Then I let it subside and just lay there, feeling my prostate glowing. I'm still a little shivery from the feeling – I know what people mean when they say they feel 'energized' after it. I just feel so good!

Some Progress

The Aneros is amazing. Every session gives sensations and experiences which are different from the last. This was a particularly long session for me, largely because after about two hours, something seriously important happened which made me want to go on for a lot longer.

My last session was frustrating, so I started this one slowly and with low expectations. My preferred position is becoming one in which I kneel on the bed with my head on the mattress and some pillows between my knees and my torso. The fact that this is comfortable for me is important, as I realized last night. This is because when you're starting out, you need to be able to think to yourself – "this is quite nice, I could carry on like this for hours". I don't think, therefore, that uncomfortable positions or tiring positions or exercizes are good ideas – you need to prepare yourself for potential longevity.

So, I spent quite a while just enjoying some gentle, delicate contractions. Then the usual experiements ensued – letting them get harder, deeper, trying to 'let go'. And, as usual, they didn't do much. So I redisciplined myself and went back to low level.

Miscellaneous Points

Dear all,

I thought I'd write a few thoughts down, having had an enjoyable session last night which, nonetheless, did not produce the Super 'O'. I'd like to think I'm a kind of intermediate at this now. Things are happening and I'm gradually mastering control of some of them, but I still haven't reached that orgasm yet, and every session seems to yield a new sensation which I have to familiarize myself with and try and understand. I won't bore you with talk of positions or lube – I just have a few points which might encourage those of you who are really struggling, or yield some advice from those of you who are really gunning.

1. The Prostate

To put it bluntly, it's a tricky little blighter! Suddenly I find that the Aneros has got it right there, and I'm like "ooooooh that's so good", but then it feels as if the Aneros has gone past, beyond the spot, or the spot has moved away. Another thing that happens is that there can be a strong, random contraction from my penis (or something related to it) which dislodges things somehow. I'm guessing that managing to maintain this sort of contact is one of the keys. Would any of the guru's amongst you agree with that?

2. Contractions – which ones?

New User Question

Hello- I just purchased my Helix and have been reading the material here on the Web. SInce I usually release my sperm sitting in a chair with my legs stretched out or on my desk top, I wonder if this type of position is OK for the prostate stimulator. Most of what read suggests that you lay on your side or flat? Has anyone advice on sitting forward or on the edge of a chair. I can't wait until my materials arrive- I will post again as my experience starts and as I lean to use this amazing sounding device!

First time

My first time with the Helix was an extremely relaxing experience. After taking some time to get to know it I eventually jerked off to a satisfying orgasm, but I think I'm a way off the non-ejaculatory O. As a gay man I have experience with anal penetration, and have found my prostate to be incredibly sensitive in the past. During anal sex the feel of my lover's penis on the gland makes me feel like I could ejaculate without any penile contact.

I am looking forward to getting to know the product more, however I am a little concerned that 2 days after I am still feeling a little sore. It's not a pain as such, more of a warmth and a feeling like the day after lifting weights after having not exercised for a long time. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not sure how long to wait before trying again, but I'm keen.
